How to reduce water retention?

This post was inspired from fellow blogger Esther asking me how to reduce bloatedness.

These tips are from my own personal experiences, research I did and also advice given to me by others previously before!

Water retention is caused from many reasons for example medication, pms, too much salt, too much water, too little water, allergies, an imbalanced diet etc.

My tips are more applicable for reducing water retention in the short run, for example, for a photoshoot.

1. Reduce salt intake the night before. In fact, if possible, try to watch your diet. Too much salt is not good for you.

2. Do not drink excessively before you sleep.

3. Go for sauna/steambath/hot yoga before your photoshoot to sweat out all of the excessive water!

Esther tried 1 and 2 and she did mentioned that she wasn’t as bloated as normal days! If you have any other tips in how to reduce water retention, do comment and I’ll add them in!
