Sawadeeka!

After bitching about missing Bangkok so much, I decided to head down to ThaiExpress. (The branch located at Heeren).

The service was extremely great that day. I once had very bad service at Thai Express Holland V. I wonder if it was due to the fact that there wasn’t much of a dinner crowd that day or perhaps the service level has actually improved.

It was quite a satisfying dinner and in true nadnut style, here are the pics and my comments of each dish.

The Tom Yum Talay is like a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Don’t be deceived by it’s clear appearance. It’s even more deadlier than the red coloured Tomyum soups! Spicy and definitely satisfying. The soup was loaded with lots of seafood and mushrooms.

I had the Khao Phat Supparod Talay which is basically Pineapple Fried Rice. I was craving for rice and this definitely did not disappoint me. I absolutely adore the pineapple cubes at the side. Yums.

I think Ching Chong Boy had the Thai Beef Kway Teow. It reminded me of my favourite Pad Thai noodles that I usually order from ThaiExpress ‘cept that it’s beef of course. It was a tad soggy for me but he seemed to enjoy it. *shrugs*

We shared the Pla Mug Phat Khai Khem Surattani which was squid with salted egg. A weird combo but we were feeling a tad adventurous. Tasted so-so just a tad salty.

I had a zesty cooler. I can’t remember what’s everything inside but I do vaguely remember pineapple and some citrus stuff.  I really enjoyed this drink. It was very refreshing.

Ching Chong Boy had the mango smoothie which was delish.

We shared a serving of Red Ruby. I loved the fact that they had served it with coconut icecream. A very comforting dessert. This left me wanting for more.

I would head back to ThaiExpress but please take note, I’m giving it 4 red bull cans because it’s value for money to me.
