Dear Jace brought me to Nakhon Kitchen recently! I’ve heard so much about the place but have never been there! Turns out they opened a branch in Bedok North and that’s pretty near to where both Jace and I stay. (hahaha not that near la, but it’s a few stops away!)

We waited say 15mins to get a seat. It isn’t an air-conditioned place so be prepared to sweat it out. Luckily we managed to get a seat outside and it was rather cooling that day.

Pictures of us before we stuff our face!

Me! I tried braiding my fringe but failed. LOL. I loved this dress from TheBlogShop but an unfortunate incident happened earlier that day and the hem got badly torn. 🙁

Here’s what we ordered. 🙂

We ordered the Thai Mango Salad (S$5), one of my personal favourites. I really like mango salads, love how they tantalise my tastebuds with the different sensations, sour, spicy and sweet!

We shared a portion of the Pineapple rice (S$6). Hmmm, I thought it was comparable to other pineapple rice sold elsewhere. i.e. didn’t think it was that special.

The Tom Yum Soup (S$6) is delish. Too spicy for both Jace and I though but we were sipping away despite our tummies burning. I loved that it was full of ingredients, definitely value for money! Go for this! (But you may wanna ask them to tone it down for you :p)

I wanted to try the Kangkong (S$6) as I’m a huge Sambal Kangkong fan. It was a bit disappointing as I expected it to be spicier. Not too bad but I guessed my expectations were set too high.

We tried the Deep Fried Squid (S$10). Jace and I both felt that the squid wasn’t crispy enough. Would have given it full marks if it was!

Absolutely adore the Mango Sticky Rice (S$4). <3

Overall really liked the place, good value for money, very affordable. Definitely a better experience as compared to the previous makan session at Porn’s.
