they sat at the cafe in silence. tension was in the air. both of them were tired. they had argued endlessly and decided to talk things over.
he had looked resigned. disappointment was all over his face. he told her that he could not love her anymore. even though she knew that the day would come sooner or later, she still felt a pang in her heart.
he told her he was going to take a walk. she watched him leave, his shoulder slumped, looking 10 years older.
he never came back…
he never looked back.
perhaps…
he never cared.
