Celebrating 33.

I changed. Or at least, I think I’ve changed.

Birthdays used to be a big thing for me. I love celebrating my birthday. I love celebrating my partner’s birthday. As superficial as it sounds, I love being pampered.

When I first started dating Skai, we celebrated every single birthday. Celebrations could range from an extravagant day out to a comfortable and relaxing staycation to a very indulgent meal.

A typical celebration would be a staycation or a good buffet/steak dinner. Sometimes we go for holidays but it’s pretty hard to do so for my birthday as it’s always close to CNY or Valentine’s day i.e. overpriced air tickets.

Last year, we celebrated with a home cooked meal by Skai as I was heavily pregnant. It wasn’t the easiest pregnancy by then so I tried to stay home as much as possible.

This year, Skai asked what I wanted to do.

Instead of celebrating me, I wanted to celebrate Aidan. I requested a shoot for Aidan on my birthday. I think Skai was pretty surprised by my request but he agreed.

And so we did! Hello family tees! And a grumpy and chubby Aidan back then.

Though we did enjoy some couple time when Aidan was asleep heh.

But the best time was when he was awake.

I guess, I didn’t need any birthday celebrations because Aidan is the best birthday present ever.

But of course, beef comes a close second. Heh. 😉
