Love, loved, lost
As mentioned in our previous Maldives entry, we had to take a seaplane to our resort. Seaplanes do not come cheap, so when planning for your Maldives holiday, do try to choose a resort that comes with transportation, ideally a ferry service.
For us, we never tried a seaplane before and we had really liked our resort (not sponsored!) and a lot of other resorts were fully booked due to the high season. We decided to splurge in the end.
For this year, Skai surprised me by booking a staycation at Royal Plaza at the Scotts! I have been to Carousel for dinner before but this was our first time staying at Royal Plaza at the Scotts!
Skai had booked a higher tier, the Royal Club (as opposed to the Superior and Deluxe rooms) as we really enjoy hotels with Club Lounge services but because we checked in late (due to a lovely lunch at Koh Grill), we got upgraded! Also, because my birthday falls during the peak season, most of the time, the hotels are operating at high occupancy. WHAT LUCK IS THIS?! We got upgraded to a suite! **DOES A HAPPY DANCE**

I’ve got some exciting news to share! We’ve collected our keys to our BTO after almost a 4 year wait! Decided to blog about the process of collecting one’s keys at HDB! While we were given the appointment time of 3:10pm, we came early and got a queue number at 2.40pm.
