I love hanging out at The Cathay. There's so much to do, things to buy and lotsa good food to eat!

I went The Cathay recently with a girlfriend and laoniang damn goondu la. I brought my camera BUT I left my battery at home. DOH!

So with the usage of some (friendly) pictures from the internet, here's what I did!

(Pic from Javno)

We first went to Strip for a brazilian wax. Ever since I've discovered Brazilian waxing, I am always going for b-waxes. I feel so "clean" after that!

I'm supportive of Strip because they are having this promotion with Cat Welfare Society. It's all for a good cause. Bravo!

After that "hair-raising" ordeal (just wanted to make a pun, it wasn't painful lah), we decided to pamper ourselves at Ben and Jerry's.

I love their icecream! Especially Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough! What's your favourite flavour?

After all of that yummy icecream, I made a visit to Xsquad! Ark runs the shop and he has a fine collection of streetwear!

The last time I was there, I picked out a snazzy pink fedora!

There's more to The Cathay than just watching movies! I think there's lots of retail outlets there and good food! Just the other day, mrkennychan and I went for Jap food there!

Did you know that The Cathay has quite a cool website? There's lots of information and promotions there!

E.g. Right now, there's a spa promo for only 30 buckaroos! Check out! Do join the mailing list to get first hand updates on promos and updates!

Really great offers! Do constantly check their promotions page to find out what's the latest promo!

Aside from that, if you like events, do check out their event listing. Lots of interesting events happening soon and for this coming lunar new year, they'll be bringing in two special shows!

For giveaways, contests, events and latest promos, why not join The Cathay facebook fan page?

I've just become a fan! You should too! Different promotions released quite frequently! Go check it out!

How would you spend your day in The Cathay? I wanna know!

The rest of the day was spent galivanting around Osaka. We had yummy and cheap omurice, our first vending machine ramen, I bought like gazillion pairs of shoes (what's new?) and we went trigger happy.

The delish omurice.

Spotted Japan's "google" store.

The japs always accede to our request to take a photo. I like!

Spotted the famous Glico man in Japan!

A common sight: Ordering your meals via vending machines.

We had wanted to eat here but it was too crowded and so we decided to eat...

Here instead!

Here's how the vending machine orders work.

1) You order via the vending machines.
2) You take a seat inside
3) The meal would be served to you shortly
4) You eat the delish meal
5) You leave.

Fast quick service! With this approach, the staff could focus on preparing and serving the food instead of wasting some time on taking down orders. With this automated service, there will be less errors e.g. waitor placing an order for the wrong food etc

I thought the portions would be small so I ordered a side dish. I WAS SO WRONG! Couldn't finish my yummy ramen in the end!

Now.. the ramen in Singapore just tastes so blah.

Most of the eateries in Japan have bag hooks or hangars where diners could hang their bags/coats. Wonder if any eateries in SG have the hangars concept too?

After our yummy dinner, we did some shopping and retired for the night.

So many chio shoes in Japan! This is why I bought 9 pairs! (But I didn't get this pair. I should have! damn)

Next entry! Kyoto!

After shopping, we headed off to a very yummy teppanyaki dinner in Osaka. (Totally forgotten the address/name of the teppanyaki place.)

Really delish food! Much better than any teppanyaki that I've ever tasted!

This was supposed to be the last night of our trip but Parita and I extended our trip a bit more. We said our goodbyes to Machiko-san, Eunice and Pak Suhendar and took some pictures!

Headed back to the hotel, camwhored a bit and slept early.

I love their sleeping gowns! Extremely comfortable! I should have paid and bought this mannnnnn. Does anyone know where I can buy anything similar to this in Singapore?

The next day felt really rushed.

I had a hair cut!

Argh! I miss my long hair! Feel like doing extensions or getting a wig. :/

I'll save the other pictures for the next Osaka entry! I think I prefer Osaka as compared to Tokyo! How about you guys?
