[Invited Tasting]

The kind folks from PAUL Singapore and Food News invited Skai and I for a food tasting during Bastille Day, their French National Holiday at PAUL Singapore at Marina Bay Link Mall.

I visited PAUL Singapore previously, but only to try their lemon tarts (which were AMAZING). Both Skai and I were very excited to sample their savouries instead! Here are some of the dishes that we sampled!

1) Salade Niçoise ($19.90++)
Grilled tuna loin, mixed salad, eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers and black olives.

2) Salade tofu froid ($18.90++)
Mixed salad with cold tofu, fresh mangoes, tomatoes vine, avocados, red radishes, button mushrooms, mango vinaigrette and roasted sesame dressing.

3) Salade boeuf grille ($19.90++)
Grilled beef with gherkins, carrots, tomato vine, cherry tomatoes, red onions, cucumbers and mixed salad.

I found the Salade tofu froid very refreshing! While not as hearty as the other two salad, it is definitely a suitable salad if you are looking for something light!

4) Cabillaud royal de méditerranée ($29.90++)
Cod fillet served on spinach and Mediterranean sauce. Garnished with asparagus, cherry tomatoes, black olives and capers.

5) Roulade de poulet ($23.90++)
Stuffed chicken and spinach baked to perfection with pumpkin puree, cherry tomatoes, mixed salad, roasted potatoes and topped with mustard sauce.

6) Gratin d’aubergines et tomates au parmesan ($23.90++)
Grilled eggplant and tomatoes sauce, layered with cheese. Served with rocket salad and parmesan cheese.

In terms of mains, my personal favourite would have to be the Grilled eggplant. While the Roulade and Cod were cooked to perfection, I found the eggplant really flavourful.

7) Petit tartelette and petit millefeuille
Strawberry lemon meringue, Lemon, Mixed Fruit, Raspberries, Chocolate and Vanilla

We sampled the petite sizes of assorted tarts. My personal favourite were the Strawberry lemon meringue and Lemon tarts.
