Review: Food tasting at 1-Rochester

The kind folks at 1-Rochester invited me alongside other bloggers to try out their latest Scandinavian Christmas Communal Menu. For those that are interested, do take note that the menu is available on Christmas Eve and the pre-Christmas weekend (this weekend!) at S$85++ per person.

These are some of the items sampled by our group.

Ham and cheese

Smoked eel

Prawn and egg salad

Gin marinated ocean trout with horseradish

Swedish-style mustard crusted baked ham and Roast turkey with a Scandinavian fruit stuffing on pear, fig, juniper, pecan and bacon.

Potato gratin.

Fish pie

Sausages!

Last but definitely not least, was the delicious Festive Assiette. This platter offers a selection of yummy desserts like a baby plum pudding, orange earl grey creme brulee log cake, mixed nut caramel tart, warm chocolate berry cake and a chestnut eggnog raisin mousse.

The whole meal was delicious though there were some items that I didn’t like which were the fish pie, chestnut eggnog raisin mousse and orange earl grey creme brulee log cake.

I’m not very adventurous when it comes to food so perhaps it’s just me.
