It's been a while since my last #project1314 update and trust me, there has been 101 things to do. Which probably has been half done. *tears hair* But at least, one of them has been done! A bonding session for my bridesmaids.
Hello everyone, pls say hi to #nadbridesmaids! We have Jacelyn, Fidelis, Esther, Carrie and Elaine!
5 lovely bloggers, all chio-er, prettier, taller, slimmer and sexier than me. (this was what my friends/colleagues said to me and asked why i choose them, why never choose uglier bridesmaids -_-)
I NO SCARED. COS I BE THE CHIOEST ON #project1314. MUAHAHAHHA.
Anyway, I don't get the rationale about choosing uglier bridesmaids. I mean, wah lao eh. So inferior feeling meh. I chose my bridesmaids not cos of their looks or that they are bloggers honestly but because they are fun.
Anyway, my male colleagues are damn excited after seeing these pics. They keep asking me to let them sit beside my #nadbridesmaids. Tsk.
ANYWAYYYYYY! The kind folks at Park Hotel Group contacted me, they had wanted to host me for a staycation and I thought what better staycation can there be but with my bridesmaids?! I had girly staycations before, I had couple staycations, romantic staycations, birthday staycations etc but I never had such a bridesmaids staycation! It was the perfect opportunity for us to get to know each other and also, to bond! We always wondered what to do during a staycation and we thought this way, it would be great for us to 1) bond 2) discuss on gatecrashing stuff 3) nua max!
What better way to know one another but to lock everyone up in a room for more than 12 hours right?! I organised the staycation for all 6 of us however at the eleventh hour, Elaine couldn't join us. 🙁 Awwww!
And so, it became 5 of us. And here is the tale of how the 5 of us bonded and ate like a pig during our lovely Singapore staycation at Grand Park Orchard.
I was invited to a few product launches/events recently and I thought that these are some pretty swell gift ideas! To be honest, I haven't started shopping for Christmas! Do take note that the below items are just items that were showcased at those events, I did not have the chance to review them. Just judging them by their packaging!
1. Bodyshop gift sets
I love BodyShop. For every Christmas, I would definitely buy something from BodyShop! It's practical, it's pretty and it smells good! What's not to like?
I love the Shea Scrub and Soften Gift Set. The packaging is extremely adorbs in a lovely Snowman case. At only S$19.90, it's really value for money for a body butter and body scrub! Give it as a set or give it as separates! I would def keep the Snowman tin case for myself. :p
Everyone loves some shimmer! For that girlfriend who loves parties, get her The Sparkler! It comes in 2 lovely shades: Enchanting Gold and Boudoir Pink at only S$39.90!
2. Clinique gift sets
I'm currently a huge fan of chubby sticks! And this set totally appealed to me! For just S$39, get 3 lovely chubby sticks!
Play up those lovely eyes with this Quickliner for Eyes Intense! For 3 eyeliners, it costs only S$45 and comes with a cute pouch!
For the male colleague/boss, perhaps consider this Clinique Happy for Him set? It comes with a Cologne Spray and an After Shave Balm at S$82.
3. Vichy Anti Imperfection Hydrating Care
I love Vichy's retroish tin! This set is perfect for someone with troubled skin. I do suggest that you give it to someone close else they might get offended though 😡
4. Anything from Ettusais!
I'll be reviewing this products in future! I love Ettusais packaging especially their baby series! Not only are they lovely for the eyes, they are very gentle on the skin!
5. Purer Skin Symphony Set
I've read many reviews from Purer Skin's ambassadors Fidelis and Elaine! This set comes with Cleanser, Toner, Serum and Night Cream. I am currently using the Miracle Serum and I love it! Pamper a girlfriend with this Bird Nest set!
6. Crabtree & Evelyn's Deluxe Hand Sampler Set
It comes in a set of 12 mini hand creams! Perfect to give as a set to someone special or divide them up for all of your girlfriends/colleagues! At S$78, it's pretty affordable!
7. Bobbi Brown's Old Hollywood Collection
For that diva colleague of yours, who loves bold colours, how about getting something from Bobbi Brown's Old Hollywood Collection? My recommendation: a strong bright red lippie.
For the girlfriend who is always on the run, GlamPact will be perfect for her. Not only is her whole makeup look complete in one easy compact, it also comes with a lovely LED Lined mirror! She'll probably need some light if she's always putting on her makeup in the cab. Come on, we all know a friend who ALWAYS does that! :p
9. Fancl's Facial Washing Powder set
As some of you guys may already know, I'm a huge fan of Fancl's products in particular their washing powder and cleansing oil! This set comes with a cute lamb cartoon, a face towel and two types of Facial Washing Powder. Really cute and unique! However, I'm not sure if you'll like to give this set as it is. With two types of Facial Washing Powder, it might make more sense to pass it to two different people. Just my two cents!
10. Perfumes - Taylor by Taylor Swift and Eau D'ivoire Balmain
As someone who loves fragrances, I think this is a perfect gift for Christmas! Eau D'ivoire Balmain is a more subtle scent with it's 'powdery' scent. For some reason, I always am reminded of baby powder when I smell it. Taylor by Taylor Swift is a more floral scent. It is a more richer and sensual scent with it's combination of fruits, florals and sandalwood notes.
I hope you've managed to find something for Christmas! I will be crafting an article on places you can consider visiting during the holidays soon! Look out for it!
I was invited to Sephora Holiday Press Event 2013 a few weeks back to have a sneak peek at the lovely holiday collections!
This will be an intense pictorial entry showcasing the brands that I managed to take a tour at and take pictures at. I will be reviewing the products I've received in other entries!
Make Up Forever
There were some booths where we didn't manage to visit sadly! Plenty of the items you see above is perfect for holiday gifts for your friends and family!
The kind folks from Goodstuph and Sephora passed us a huge bag of goodies! I will be reviewing some of them soon! I have already swatched the Stila lipglosses which currently is my favourite item! Look out for my entries soon!
