The fame of the ‘Salt’ brand saw itself translated across ventures such as Salt grill & Sky bar Singapore, Salt grill, Hilton Surfers Paradise; Salt and the adjoining World Wine Bar, Tokyo as well as Salt grill onboard three P&O cruise liners. Fried potatoes, spicy tomato sauce and garlic aioli. While I liked the garlic aioli and spicy tomato sauce, I thought that the dish was a tad too spicy for me.

The Beetroot, asparagus, egg, radish, rocket, tarragon dressing was really refreshing! Beetroot is really an acquired taste though.

Pork sliders, pickled cucumber and chilli was really easy to eat. Love how it’s so bite-sized! Super light and love the unique seasoning.

The Roasted Barramundi with squid, tomato and chorizo was a bit salty, I realised that they sprinkled the salt unevenly. Other than that, I liked this dish. Polished off the whole thing!

The Paella of prawns, mussels, chorizo, chicken was amazing. Not only were they NOT stingy about the ingredients, I mean there was a good amount of prawns, mussels and chicken! The prawns were also big and juicy! Love the flavour! The paella reminded me a bit of nasi tomato, a rice dish my mum always made. Love it!

I also really enjoyed the Lamb rump with crumbed zucchini, salsa Verde. The lamb was cooked to perfection, it was red, juicy and delicious. The sauce on the other hand was not to my liking. I felt that the sprinkle of sea salt was a tad too much as per some of the other dishes.

The Berry and custard mille-feuille with elderflower sorbet was a bit disappointing. I really the sorbet though, somehow the elderflower reminded me of lychee or longan. But the mille was a bit too for me. If it was a bit softer, it would have been perfect.

The Churros & chocolate sauce was a bit thick. As in the churros, was also a tad too oily and greasy for my liking.

Salt Tapas and Bar had a few hits and misses. Maybe I’m a bit picky over the amount of salt used, I mean, I’m not a huge fan of salt but my other dining companions seemed to like the amount of salt used, so do ignore me yeah?

Would I come back? Yes. I would. Especially for the Paella and Lamb rump.

The place was pretty packed for a Tuesday evening and it looked like a nice place to chill with friends. I also heard that Salt tapas & bar’s Ladies’ Night takes place every week on Wednesdays where ladies can enjoy 2 free cocktails with ever tapas order from 6pm to 9pm. Nice! I’ll be sure to return soon 🙂
