The kind folks at Hasbro has given me a set of “Let’s Rock Elmo” to give away on my blog.
I had the set delivered to my office and even the adults were amazed at it.

Review on Kandi Treats & Giveaway!

Kathy from Kandi Treats had kindly approached me and asked if I wanted to review (not paid okay!) their latest product: Jellybeans. I was intrigued by the name and decided to take up the offer to review the products and also have a giveaway for my readers.
First up, some background info on Kandi Treats.
The first product, Jelly Bean, was conceptualized by the owner, Kathy Amurao-Herrera. One day while shopping at a bazaar, an idea sprang her mind that it would be great to only shop for JUST one item and be able to use it in several different types of wardrobe in several different ways. It would be nice to have an accessory that saves you a lot of money and shopping stress just because it is so functional. She started with ribbons as the basic element and soon came up with a simple accessory, which she then tried to reproduce and sell to a few friends.
She was able to show the first batch to several different people and had great feedback. That’s when she decided to sell their products to a bigger network. Hence KAnDi Treats was launched August 2010. The name KAnDi was from the names, KAthy Amurao-Herrera, ANdrea Castro & DIanne Cristobal-Correa.
Kandi Treats’ has come a long way since their launch last 2010. They were featured in different tv shows, magazines and fashion blogs. They vow to showcase Filipino hand-made accessories all over the world.
I thought it was really innovative of her to create an item which can be used in so many ways.

Here’s the first “experiment”. During lunch time, my colleagues and I assembled in our little pantry area to “cook”.

We had wanted to make all 3 boxes but in the end, we only managed to make 1! We underestimated the time taken to “cook”!

Kracie’s Poppin’ Cooking!

Konapun looked so adorbs! Only thing was… they weren’t edible. 
After a bit more research and searching, I found out about Kracie’s Poppin’ Cooking and joyfully shared the news with Jacelyn and also my friends Emma and PeiPei! On one day, while Ching Chong Boy and I were paktoring, we found a shop selling Kracie Poppin’ Cooking!
I had immediately posted the pic up on my Facebook and Twitter and a barrage of comments came in! I bought one back then as…. the boy wouldn’t understand why I would spend so much on candy. T_T
But later on.. found out that my friends went to buy too, I “tompang” with them :X

Today’s cheap thrill is another freebie that comes with a magazine! I first saw the magazine when I was browsing in Kinokuniya with Jacelyn.
When I first saw the freebie on the cover, I was intrigued! It looked pretty decent! Felt material and a good size unlike the Agnes B bag..
I deliberated over it and decided not to buy it that day. Went home, googled a bit and liked what I saw and I bought it the next day!

I absolutely adore the bag. Even more than the Agnes B bag! But then, this magazine was definitely more expensive than Steady’s. The Fred Perry Autumn & Winter 2010 Collection Book retails at $28.70. Borrowed Jacelyn’s Kinokuniya card and I got 10% off. Whee!
The Collection Book however isn’t like the typical Japanese magazines with the nice tutorials etc. It showcases Fred Perry fashion (like duh! It’s a collection book!)
So don’t expect much from it.
