This is a Foodie Fridays- TGIF! It's time to get fat on Fridays! entry under my themed blog posts! For more info about this Singapore Food themed blog posts, do read the entry here.
I'm not sure if any of you guys may remember this... in 2010, I started this #mysterymakan tradition with Jacelyn, Esther and Fidelis. Each of us would take turns planning makan outings and would only reveal the address on the day itself with no other details. With the Mystery Makan tradition, we visited new places and tried new food! It’s really fun and we all look forward to our Mystery Makan sessions. Personally, I always search for nice themed cafes to showcase in this Singapore Lifestyle Blog.
This time, it was BFF's time to organise!
Jace's Mystery Makan was located at Bodacious Bar and Bistro at 70 Biopolis Street. A lovely place for the Westies!
I loved the decor of Bodacious. I think it's Modern Industrial inspired with lovely bright, vibrant and vintage decor.
Salt grill and Sky bar is a modern Australian all-day restaurant by celebrity chef- restaurateur Luke Mangan. It's conveniently located at ION Orchard on the 55th and 56th floors and has been highly raved due to it's choice offerings, service and great view. If you are looking for Weekend Brunch, I would highly recommend Salt Grill & Sky Bar.
We were invited to sample their latest Weekend Brunch menu.
The lovely Carrie from The Cambelles invited me and my lovely mystery makan girlies down to Azur to sample the New Weekend Changi Brunch Menu! This is actually my third time back at Azur, check out my other entries here: Dinner tasting and CNY food tasting.
For those unfamiliar with Azur's brunch menu, they always have a mixture of both the East and West cuisine.
Azur has a great variety of dishes such as:
Fruits and Starters
Eastern aka Local Favourites
Some of Azur's noteworthy dishes:
- Prawn Noodles
- Nasi Briyani
- Braised 'Dung Po' Pork Belly and Kong Bak Pao
- Pan Seared Australian Beef Steak with Black Pepper Cream Sauce
I was really looking forward to the Wok Fried Golden Crabmeat Fried Rice but it was a tad too crispy for my liking.
The "must whack" in my opinion?
We had a lovely time at Azur and it has become one of my favourite buffet places in the East.
Do check out Azur's Weekend Changi Brunch (Adult: S$45++, Child: S$22.50++) on Saturdays and Sundays 12.30pm - 3.30pm.
Check out Azur Restaurant at:
Crowne Plaza Hotel
75 Airport Boulevard Singapore 819664

Remember the durian cake we were raving about in the CNY food tasting entry? We had it again! This time at the lounge!
There were other fabulous desserts there but I stuck firm to my durian cake.
It was SOOOO good!
c(hubby) and I had a slice each!
Super craving the cakes again!
Perfect taitai session with the girls <3
