Brought the fatty for his vaccinations not too long ago. Two of them!

Poor boy was feeling extremely anxious and scared!

But all went well in the end!

Some cats suffer some side effects after a vaccination. Do take note and special care for a few days after vaccination. They may seem irritable, aggressive, extremely lethargic or even lose their interest in food. Do ensure that they get enough food or water especially.

Miu Miu was extremely sleepy and lethargic after both vaccinations. We monitored his behaviour and thankfully it subsided. If your cat suffers from a fever or shows any weird behaviour, do contact your vet immediately.

We'll be bringing Miu Miu for his sterilisation after Chinese New Year! Extremely worried of course but it's for his own good. No father's day for Miu Miu! :p

Here are my other Caturdays posts:

For more pictures of Miu Miu, do check out his Facebook page. There will be daily pics of Miu <3

[Invited Food Tasting Event]

The #mysterymakan girls and I were invited for a food tasting event to Jing Hua located at Palais Renaissance.

When I visited Jing Hua and looked at it's menu, I found the menu extremely familiar. Turns out that I've actually visited it's sister branch Qun Zhong Eating House at Neil Road previously before.

We tried some of Jing Hua's Classic items such as:

Noodle with Minced Pork & Soya Bean Sauce ($6.80++). Apparently this is like jajiangmian? Am not a huge fan. Found that it tasted a bit strong and wasn't to my preference. To be fair, I have yet tried a similar dish like this that I like.

Little Juicy Steamed Meat Dumplings ($8.80++ for 8 pieces) aka Xiao Long Bao was juicy and delicious. My only gripe is that I felt that the dumplings could come with more broth. I want more!

The Chinese Pizza ($10.80++) looked like a marriage between a flattened curry puff and a pie. The Chinese Pizza's fillings were chives and pork. While it was tasty, I did think that it paled in comparison to the other Jing Hua dishes.

[Sponsored Review]

You've probably read about my preparation for CNY. I've wrote about my Alice in Wonderland nails done at Milly's. I've also 'settled' shopping for Chinese New Year.

Aside from that, just two days ago, I visited Caely at Shunji Matsuo 313. I actually had wanted to just style my hair for my birthday dinner.

Off to a staycation! This time, it's planned by c(hubby)!

My hair was this shade after fading a bit. I honestly like this shade of brown. But after visiting Caely, she suggested I colour my hair to touch up my roots.

As usual, I told her 'anything'. I am comfortable leaving it up to her to decide. So far, everything that she has chosen for me, I love it! I just didn't want red hair again. Though red is sibeh huat for Chinese New Year LOL

Hello everyone! Today's my birthday. LOL. As per my yearly tradition, it’s time to summarise my life into one post to see where I’ve failed and where I’ve succeeded.

Work: After 3.5 years handling Product Marketing in Asiasoft (and that's not even counting the first time I was there!), I left for a Social Media position in a Creative Advertising Agency. Very different role, very different 'clients'. Let's see how things goes 😉

Family: Not in the best of health. For some reason, I feel even closer to them in the past year. I guess, I've become more homely? Would wanna go home for dinner often. Maybe the thought of me moving out soon kinda makes me wanna spend as much time as possible with them? In any case, like what I've always said: Family comes first. Always. Biggest change would be adopting a cat called Miu Miu. He has brought much more happiness to the fam, especially my dad who isn't feeling so good.

Love: We had our Chinese Wedding Banquet last year, also had our honeymoon to Europe. This March, we'll be heading to Maldives! Relationship has been going good. Way too good. Which is pretty much why we're both packing the pounds. I feel that the past year has been the happiest so far in our relationship. Heh.

Health: The fatty is back! Gained weight! But that's also because I stopped my low/no carb diet and stopped the hardcore exercise. Oops. Shall make it a point to strike a balance. Not hardcore again, but casually. Something that I can maintain in the long run. Nothing major happened in this aspect, just the more than occasional flu, migraines and stomach problems.

Friends: I've become more pickier. Maybe because I would rather spend more time with family, I now cut down on going out with friends or even other social events. I mainly hang out with a close few like the #MysteryMakan gang. That being said, I still catch up with friends via messages, Facebook etc. Just that I've kinda slacked on big parties, clubbing etc. Lao liao lah. Laoniang just wanna watch my Korean dramas at home and play with my cat.

Blogging: I've started to blog more regularly these days. I guess, with my themed posts, it really makes it more fun for me! I'll soon be blogging about the next phase of my life: Owning my very own house! When it comes later this year, that is.

Thanks to everyone and anyone who has wished me a very happy birthday. As mentioned every year: birthdays just symbolises another year closer to the grave (to me). So love like you have never loved before, eat like you have never eaten before, live life like every day is your last.

Much love,
nadnut
