I had previously decorated a cake with the girls at an event and had always wanted to try Icing Room. When I saw the Groupon offer, I immediately bought thrn Icing Room voucher for only $9.90! I got the bf to come with me to decorate a cake!
We went to the Junction 8 branch 🙂
Was very pleased with the offer. We paid only $9.90 for the 6 inch cake. Honestly, I wouldn’t pay $20.80 for a cake that I have to decorate myself :X
These were the items we were given to start with. Very limited decoration items but one can always top up to purchase other items to prettify your cake.
Well, we were el cheapo so we made do with what we had.
We were pretty lost and didn’t know how to start. What to design?! We stared blankly at each other.
If you guys are planning to head down to Icing Room, do brainstorm on some possible designs. :p
Both of us started pointing at each other to start first, refusing to back down. LOL
Finally, I decided to relent and start decorating first. PFFFFT.
Errrr. Nothing spectacular but little hearts on the cake.
I thought the cake looked pretty good here.
UNTIL….
Ching Chong Boy decided to colour the heart. CAN YOU SEE HIM HOLDING A BLUE ICING THINGAJIG?!
WHO THE HELL COLOURS A HEART BLUE?!
I practically went “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo!” when he did that.
The damage is done. I was trying hard to smile prettily for the camera when actually I wanted to kick Ching Chong Boy. -_-”
Please congratulate us for decorating the ugliest cake ever.

Honestly, the cake was yummeh. Too much icing though but super delish.
Artistic, we are not. Ah well. We had fun, and that was most important. 😉

hahahah my voucher expired. sad. wasted 10 bucks. but i couldnt find time to go during the last few days of the voucher validity! looks fun though! and the cake doesnt look that bad lah, even with the blue icing. hahahaha. 🙂 although i like how you said “we’re definitely keeping our day jobs.” hahahah, that made me chuckle. 🙂
