Remember the previous PSB video?

If you are a gym nut, or just extremely interested in sports, you have to check out the Bachelor of Science (Sports Science) offered by University of Western Australia! This course will provide you with revealing insights into the exciting world of science behind human performance and movement! This course will offer you expertise in the human anatomy, exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor skill learning and the psychology of human performance!

UWA scored five stars ratings for research intensity and student to staff ratios. In relation to undergraduate students, it scored five stars for difficulty to get in and positive graduate outcomes and a four star rating for success in getting a job and graduate starting salaries. Definitely a very prestigious University!

Not  only that, the course also includes an attachment component. Students will not only obtain professional experience but also give them a headstart as compared to other courses!

If you like to find out more about the courses, do check out the free information session which will be conducted by Dr Andrea Loftus on 31 March 2011 at 7pm!

Check out PSB’s psychology programmes!

Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011

Remember the previous PSB video?

If you were are as interested in Psychology as I am, you’ll be glad to know that PSB Academy has been offering part-time programmes such as the Bachelor of Science (Psychology) since 2006. In 2009, university graduates like me have the option to pursue a Graduate Diploma in Psychology as well!

I think it’s interesting to be able to understand more about the human behaviour, to analyse the who, what, how and why.  I think this knowledge is very important With this knowledge, you’ll be able to understand how the brain functions and how people think. I honestly think this knowledge can be used to one’s benefit too!

And what better place to study all this but at PSB Academy?

PSB Academy offers these programmes from the UWA School of Psychology which was established in 1930 and was actually the second Psychology Department in Australia! It was the first to offer a full undergraduate degree!

Not only that, the degree is also accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council!

If you like to find out more about the courses, do check out the free information session which will be conducted by Dr Andrea Loftus on 31 March.

Truth or Fail – Nadia & Jayden edition

[Advertorial]

Remember the previous entry on PSB? This time round, Jayden and I sat in a Bachelor of Science (Sport Science) class!

It was really interesting! As someone who occasionally participates in sporty activities, I really enjoyed myself!

What do you mean I’m not sporty at all?!?! I think I’m sporty at times wor! Evidence here!

I run occasionally! Participated in last years GE10k and Standchart 10km run. This year I’ve signed up for the Shape 10k run! I’ve also signed up for the Standchart 10km together with chingchongboy!

I blade and iceskate!

I enjoy water activities!

I love speed! Be it playing go-kart or on Ccb’s bike!

Recently, I just went on an open water diving course with Fidelis and I had so much fun! Unfortunately because I did not warm up properly before my dive, I suffered from bad muscle cramps. It was really scary! Did you know that muscle cramps are caused by improper warmup, excessive usage of a muscle, fatigue, stress or dehydration?

Did you know that you can learn about such information in a few of the modules in the Sport Science programme?

If you enjoy sports as much as I do, you should definitely pursue your interests and consider signing up for a Bachelor of Science (Sport Science)! The degree is good for people who live and breathe sports! I think it’ll be fun studying something you are really passionate about!

And in the meantime, do check out Jayden’s and my version of Truth or Fail! If you haven’t heard of Truth or Fail, you should totally smack yourself! Go youtube it!

So how well did you do? Let me know!

Last but not least, here are some fun facts about PSB!

PSB Academy is an official supporter of YOG 2010! UWA and PSB Academy are premier partners of The Singapore Arts Festival 2010 for the 2nd year running. A school that cares!

I have been going to PSB Academy recently for classes! Have you guys heard of PSB Academy before?

If you haven’t, shame on you! PSB Academy is one of the largest independent education and training institutions in Singapore. PSB Academy offers diplomas and degrees from prestigious universities from the US, UK and Australia. They have over 300 lecturers and associates! Each year, they have about an average of 50,000 students!

For the advertorials that I’ll be writing for PSB Academy, I’ll be focusing on the degrees offered by University of Western Australia which is one of the most prestigious universities in Australia! UWA is in the Group of Eight!

For each advertorial I write for PSB Academy, I’ll focus on a specific discipline! And for this advertorial, it’ll be about Psychology! PSB offers 3 different psychology courses from UWA. They are: Bachelor of Science (Psychology), Bachelor of Science (Psychology and Human Performance) and Graduate Diploma in Psychology.

I always had a keen interest in Psychology as I feel really intrigued by the way we behave and I had the opportunity to sit in a Psych class!

But first, some pictures of PSB!

I headed off to Psych class with Jayden!

Psych class with Dr Honey Ng. She’s such a sweetheart! The class size was small and cosy. I feel that it’s a very good class size. Students were comfortable with Dr Honey Ng to ask questions and all! I didn’t feel overloaded with information and I think it’s really interesting!

Am now feeling so tempted to sign up for a Psych Degree! (But then I’m not done paying off my current study loan. :/)

Are you wondering why Jayden and I are wearing labcoats?

That’s because we did this mockumentary!

We had lots of great fun filming on campus!

If you’re interested in checking out PSB Academy and it’s courses, do head down for a preview session! The next one is on 17th March! Details here!

You might find Jayden and myself on campus! We’ll be hanging around PSB Academy for the next few months! ;) For more details on PSB Academy, check out www.psb-academy.edu.sg!
