Aidan is finally 1 year old!

Untitled

It's getting so hard to do the monthly pics now as he hardly lies down and stays still for pictures!  We might need to change the format soon! Should we continue taking monthly pics? Skai thinks we should do yearly only! Hmmm!

As per my usual tradition, here are some of his milestones! Aidan is 1!

  • He has started walking with support. He uses chairs, stools, humans etc to get around.

Untitled

  • We managed get him clap to Happy Birthday.

Untitled

  • He reacts well to music and starts swaying around.

Untitled

  • He is babbling a LOT. He is still very vocal. He would point at things and 'talk' about it!

Untitled

  • His appetite is still very very small! But this month he has started to eat a little bit more!

Untitled

  • He is still breastfed and loves latching. My little boy is aggressive! He actually pulls down my top! :O I've hit my milestone for breastfeeding for one year! YAY!

Untitled

  • He still has not slept through the night! But he has finally started to self soothe to sleep. FINALLY!

Untitled

Untitled

  • He is a very inquisitive baby. He would touch everything and anything.

Untitled

Untitled

  • He still loves being Tula-ed <3

Untitled

  • He is starting to be more affectionate and we LOVE it!

Untitled

Happy birthday my precious! We celebrated his actual day by going to USS as you can see from the pictures in this post! We also celebrated with a party and I'll be blogging about it soon!

Untitled

Thank you Auntie Jace for Aidan's "Mercedes-Benz" hehehe.

As some of you guys may know, I love photoshoots! I really do. Especially now that Aidan is growing up fast, I am totally obsessed with documenting his growth (which is pretty evident from my numerous Instagram posts and milestones posts on my blog)

Previously I did a Maternity and Newborn shoot with Ashley Low Photography and LOVED the experience. Needless to say, it was pretty much a no-brainer for me to go back to her!

I scheduled my Tummy to Tippy Toes shoot with Ashley Low Photography when Aidan was close to 11 months old. This was the time that he was crawling a lot and starting to stand (with support). He was also displaying lots of cheeky grins from time to time and I really wanted to capture that moment.

I discussed with Ashley on a few different concepts and I pretty much left it to her to suggest some themes to play with!

Our first theme was the Ah Boys to Men theme. Which was perfect for us, because Skai is a Regular Medium. hhahahah.

I love how Ashley makes Aidan laugh. She has toys and many gimmicks to coax funny expressions from him!

[Review]

I was introduced to Nateen, a brand of diapers a few months ago by a mutual friend! Nateen is a Belgium Brand of diapers. They started its distribution in Europe and South America in 1990s and is distributed by Turbo-Med.

I was introduced to their baby range of products.

Untitled

Blur pic but check out Aidan's cheeky grin when he saw the items!

Untitled

We tried the Nateen Baby Pull Up Pants in Size L. ($66 for a carton of 8 x 20's)

Untitled

And the Nateen Tape Diapers in Size L. ($44.80 for a carton of 2 x 64's)

Untitled

And the Nateen Baby Wet Wipes. ($33.60 for a carton of 12)

Personally I have tried quite a wide range of diapers for Aidan before, from the most affordable to the premium, we tried everything. Thankfully Aidan has not had any bad reactions to any diaper so far.

Untitled

And what's my take on Nateen?

Honestly it feels more premium that the current brand of diapers I'm using. It's very soft with  breathable material and is comparable to the premium range of diapers. I like how that it has a colour wetness indicator (like some of the other brands do!) on the front so that with a quick glance, we'll know if it's time for a diaper change.

In the premium category of diapers, I feel that Nateen diapers is a little bit more affordable compared to the rest? I honestly see Nateen as an 'unbranded' premium diaper. There's no 'design' nor brand endorsement (which could be why it's more affordable?) and it's simple and functional. And that's enough for me. It's ultra-soft, high absorbency, fast drying, works well and has no bells and whistles because that's the way it is. Work like diaper, looks like a diaper. Not a fashion accessory.

For the wet wipes, I find that it's more moist than most that I've used before which makes it really convenient as it helps with stubborn hard poo, dirty table, gross public baby chairs! I also like it comes with it's own lid.

Thanks Nateen for sending these products for me to review! Nateen has also kindly offered a discount code for my readers should you wish to try their products.

Aidan is now 11 months old! Soon he'll be 1 year old. o.O WAY TOO FAST!

Untitled

As per my usual tradition, here are some of his milestones!

  • He is able to move around with support. He stands while holding onto tables, chairs, humans. HAHHAHA. He also started to push things around.
  • Untitled

  • He claps enthusiastically now. Previous months he started doing the 'twinkle twinkle little star' motion and then pointing.
  • He has started saying mum mum, tata, baba. We're still waiting to hear him say papa and mama heh.
  • Untitled

  • He is still very vocal. He would point at things and say "EH!". He has started gesturing to things that he has queries on or things that he wants/drops. E.g. he would point at Skai walking away and go "EH!" as if to ask where is Daddy going?
  • Untitled

    Untitled

  • He is super hyper. He loves standing when he is not supposed to e.g. in baby chairs, supermarket trolleys.
  • Untitled

    Untitled

    Untitled

  • He is sleeping better at night. While he still sleeps really late, he now sleeps very deeply and does not wake up as frequently as last time.
  • Untitled

  • He has stopped sucking his pacifier to sleep. Instead he latches on me. Comfort latching. Before that, he'll bite on his teething toys.
  • Untitled

  • He is still breastfed. Looks like I'll be able to breastfeed till he is at least 1 year old! YAY!
  • Untitled

    Untitled

  • He has started giving things to people. Recently he fed me his biscuits.
  • Untitled

  • He is not afraid of dogs. Fidel brought her dog recently and Aidan was pretty indifferent to Ollie.
  • He loves touching the iRobot. However when the iRobot is switched on, he would be scared. HAHHAAH.
  • Untitled

  • He is still a very happy and cheery baby 🙂

Happy 11 months old my precious baby. He's growing up way too fast! We'll be planning for Aidan's 1 year birthday celebration soon. Do feel free to share tips and vendor recommendations! And if you'll like to collaborate, do contact me here!

As most of you guys may know, I basically live breathe Ju Ju Be. I'm a huge fan of their diaper bags especially the Tokidoki range!

Tomorrow will be the launch of the Super Toki and Sweet Victory range from Ju Ju Be x Tokidoki and I was extremely lucky to have picked as one of the 88 VIPs from Bumper to attend their first ever Singapore Ju Ju Be Trunk Show!

Untitled

USA mamas maybe familiar with the concept of Trunk Shows however we Singaporeans have never had one before!

From my own basic understanding, a trunk show is organised by a physical retailer for their shoppers/VIPs to be able to purchase the items before the official launch. Just like a sneak preview of a movie!

Untitled

Who organised it and where?

Bumwear was the first ever physical retailer from Singapore to have organised it at their physical store at Plaza Singapura from 4pm - 8pm.

Untitled

Untitled

How does one score a queue number?

Bumwear had put up a Rafflecopter link for 30 minutes on their Facebook Page. One would need to be a Bumwear VIP in order to qualify. 88 VIP members were picked by Rafflecopter and was announced on their Facebook page. I was lucky enough to have gotten queue number #13.

What was available for purchase?

This was the list of items available for purchase at the trunk show. Each queue number is entitled to purchase up to 4 Super Toki / Sweet Victory items with the requirement that at least one item be a Bag. If you purchase a non-toki Ju Ju Be item, you will be able to purchase an additional ST/SV item. Maximum of 2 additional purchases are allowed.

Untitled

What is considered a bag?

BRB, BFF, Be Sporty, HBB, Super Be, Be Light and Starlet.

What other fun activities were available?

Untitled

Untitled

Bumwear had invited two popular CLs (Custom Ladies) Petite Romance and Milistudio who shared about their custom works alongside selling some of their items. You could also check out ST and SV at one of the booths there too!

Untitled

You can also take pictures at the Photo Booth with some fun props and enjoy a free cake pop from them!

Untitled

Untitled

It was really fun though I was disappointed that the Super Toki Minibe was wiped out when it came to my turn. Looks like I have to work hard at FFF (Fastest Fingers First) tomorrow! I love such gatherings as I get to meet my fellow Ju Ju Be Pink Ladies!

Untitled

I took some pictures during the Trunk Show, hope that you enjoyed this post! Let's work hard tomorrow!!!

I'm not affiliated in anyway with Ju Ju Be or Bumwear. In fact, I spend way too much money on Ju Ju Be as I buy every single bag with my own money.
