When Two Happy Flowers contacted me, I couldn’t help gushing over their cute website. They are not your typical blogshop which stocks apparels, accessories and footwear. They have a good variety of stationery such as notebooks, pens, decorative stickers and even polaroid albums! I think they make really nifty gifts for friends!

I was sponsored with 3 items from Two Happy Flowers.

UP-themed ROM/Dinner in 2014!

Saturday, March 17th, 2012

The boy and i have discussed with our parents and we’ve fixed a date for the ROM.

We’ve decided that we are not in any rush to get married so soon. I had a perfect date in mind and it really seemed like a good idea to get married on that special date.

Which is two years later. In the meantime, we search for a place and save loads of moolah for the wedding, house, renovation and whatnots.

We pretty much know what we want for our ROM.

We are looking for an outdoor venue or well, semi-outdoor at the very least. We are going for an UP-themed wedding. Figured that’s the best theme to suit my love for colours, rainbows and clouds. Time to check out all the wedding shows. We are toying between a ROM or to settle everything on that date.

For now, i’m just collating ideas. Am looking for the UP “house”. If anyone has any lobang, pls let me know

Looking at doing an engagement shoot soon! We’re going to Club Med Bintan for our little “engagement-moon”!

Decided to splurge and treat the boy as an engagement present for him!

More updates will come soon, hopefully!!!

We actually celebrated my actual birthday at Prive with a delicious dinner but for the weekend, the boy had booked a room at Moon Hotel. He was searching for Staycations in Singapore and read that Moon Hotel was suitable for couples. Together with it’s rather affordable price and good location, he chose Moon Hotel.

Check out Bibap!

Monday, March 12th, 2012

Singapore Lifestyle Blog, nadnut, Featured Advertorial, Bibap, Bibimbap,

Have you heard the news? I read on ChannelNewsAsia that the popular Bibap is coming to Singapore on March 30th!

What’s Bibap?

Singapore Lifestyle Blog, nadnut, Featured Advertorial, Bibap, Bibimbap,

BIBAP is a non-verbal culinary comedy that displays the unconventional cooking skills of two highly talented chefs.

Bibap? Why does it sound like Bibimbap?

Singapore Lifestyle Blog, nadnut, Featured Advertorial, Bibap, Bibimbap,

This exciting show, based mainly on Korean’s popular dish ‘bibimbap’ engages all your senses and keeps you entertained throughout the evening. Bibap is from the production team behind JUMP and BreakOut!, two uber popular sold-out shows! Each action is superbly executed through dynamic dance/kungfu moves. Expect to be delighted by the dexterity of the chefs as they b-boyed and beat-boxed out amazing dishes, one of which is Korea’s representative dish, bibimbap (rice mixed with vegetables and meat). The exhibit of pure energy coupled with the dynamic music, produce a perfect harmony, just as all the different ingredients are mixed together to create a tasty dish.

What’s so interesting about Bibap?

Singapore Lifestyle Blog, nadnut, Featured Advertorial, Bibap, Bibimbap,

It’s not like any other musical or show. This highly interactive show, BIBAP, has been heralded as the pioneer of a new culture code, Eatertainment, a combination of eating and entertainment. It combines many different elements such as dance, beat-box, singing and cooking! Definitely value for money! Not only that, it’s an interactive show between the performers and the audience as we get to play a part in determining the winner! I bet that you would have never guessed that they use actual real kitchen utensils (e.g. knives!) during the show!

Where can I catch Bibap?

Bibap will be shown at the Esplanade Theatre from 30 March to 1 April. There will be a 8pm show on Friday (30 March), a 3pm and 8pm show on Saturday (31 March) and a 3pm show on Sunday (1 April).

How much are the tickets?

Tickets are at $38, $50, $68, $80. This excludes the $3 SISTIC fee.

Where can I buy tickets from?

Tickets are available through all SISTIC outlets. To book, call SISTIC at 6348 5555 or visit www.sistic.com.sg

Where can I go to find out more information about Bibap?

Singapore Lifestyle Blog, nadnut, Featured Advertorial, Bibap, Bibimbap,

Check out this link on Facebook. More information, videos and other interesting tidbits are available there.

Here’s a treat for my readers! I’ll be giving away 2 sets of Bibap premiums!

Singapore Lifestyle Blog, nadnut, Featured Advertorial, Bibap, Bibimbap,

The Bibap premium comes with a tote bag and a cute set of wooden spoon and chopsticks. If you’ll like one, here’s how!

Tell me why I should give you the set of Bibap premiums?

I did a non surgical enhancement recently… I always had a problem with my dark eye circles and eye bags.

Even with makeup, the eyebags are still horrendous. I can conceal the dark eye circles but nothing can help the eyebags.

My new toy! The Ukulele!

Tuesday, March 6th, 2012

I was never musically inclined, I always joked to my friends that I was tone-deaf, well actually I am not tone-deaf, just that I sing really horribly and basically, I can’t really carry a tune.

What possessed me to purchase a Ukulele?

To be honest, it was for frivolous reasons. It was cute, it was quite affordable and it was an impulse buy. The boy was riding to Moon Hotel for my birthday staycation then when I saw Ukulele Movement. (This is not an advertorial)

Singapore Lifestyle Blog, nadnut, Ukulele Movement, Ukulele, Uke, Music

Explored the shop and I fell in love with the Watermelon Ukulele but it was not a feasible choice, it was >$100 and I couldn’t justify buying that to the boy.
