The kind folks from Hotel Re! invited Skai aka c(hubby) and I to experience their Re!ally Really Fun Staycation promo.

Disclaimer: While this Staycation was sponsored, I was not expected to review the hotel.

Skai and I were no strangers to Hotel Re! We visited Hotel Re! on a couple of occasions. I visited Hote Re for a blogger event sometime back with the #MysteryMakan girls, Skai and I took a look at Hotel Re! and considered as one of our venues for our wedding dinner aka #nadskai1314. Last CNY, we also visited their bar to chill out with his cousins.

Hotel Re! is located at Pearl's Hill, 175A Chin Swee Road, Singapore 169879

We had a smooth check in and was shown to our room, an Executive Room. For the Staycation promotion, guests would be checked into a Deluxe Room. To enjoy the same benefits as I did, the Executive room would require an additional top up of $50++ for the upgrade.

The room came with a comfy bed, tv and a small wardrobe area.

Instead of the disposable bedroom slippers, Hotel Re! provided slippers for us to use within their hotel.

I was surprised to see a bathtub considering that Hotel Re! was a boutique hotel. It was actually considered a rather spacious bathroom!

Hotel Re! also provided drinking water and complimentary usage of their Nespresso machine with capsules provided.

nadnut hotel re

Happy us with the room! Did you see the design behind? The room is Elvis Presley inspired!

nadnut

Hotel Re is actually a Modern Retro Boutique Hotel. This is me hamming it up with the design behind.

Honestly speaking, while the hotel may not have facilities like Club Lounge, I think that the hotel was comfortable and satisfying for us.

nadnut

We were also pleasantly surprised to find discount vouchers.

Love their funky lifts!

We trooped down to Re!Fill, their restaurant to utilise our 50% voucher. Disclaimer: meals were paid on our own and wasn't sponsored.

We ordered the lobster horfun which was extremely delicious. It was huge enough for us to share. Very very very tasty!

Being the typical Singaporeans we were, we headed to Re!Wine, their bar to utilise our other 50% voucher. Disclaimer: drinks were paid on our own and wasn't sponsored.

Skai ordered a beer while I ordered a glass of wine.

Drinks were reasonably priced. Bar is pretty quiet honestly but the music was good. Took the opportunity to sing aloud to the songs since we weren't gonna disturb anybody! (yours truly is almost tone deaf HAHHA)

After finishing our drinks, we made full use of the complimentary rental of Dvds.

nadnut

We could only manage to watch New Year's Eve and Valentine's Day before concussing. I blame the comfy bed!

The Re!Ally Fun Staycation promo offered the option to swop our Breakfast to Brunch instead. Needless to say, we swop to that so that we could sleep in.

nadnut hotel re

We had the pleasure of Chef William joining us for Brunch.

nadnut

nadnut hotel re

Skai chose Jean's Classic Breakfast which featured the full range of English breakfast items like the golden hash browns, chicken sausage, baked beans, toasted chef’s choice bread and crispy turkey bacon with sautéed portobello mushroom and cherry tomatoes at the side.

I could't decide on my choice so Chef William made a mini version of Cherie’s Slipper Lobster Croissant and Daphne’s Egg-citing Benedict.

nadnut hotel re

Cherie’s Slipper Lobster Croissant consisted of a croissant generously filled with a mix of grilled slipper lobster tossed with chopping celery, chive, tomato in Japanese dressing and tobiko and accompanied by truffle fries. The mini version of Daphne’s Egg-citing Benedict consisted of a poached egg resting on toasted English muffin base with a sweet fruit salad.

nadnut hotel re

We enjoyed a serving of mint ice-cream accompanied with fruits.

At $158++, we really think that Hotel Re!'s Re!ally Fun Staycation was a good Singapore Staycation Promotion. Really affordable!

However, we'll recommend that one drive if you're heading to the hotel. But of course, there are  shuttle buses, but if you're lugging luggage along, a car would be more convenient. If you're driving, you'll be pleased to know that Hotel Re! provides complimentary parking.

The problem with being on the mailing list of many hotels is that you'll get very very very tempted over Singapore Staycations Promotions.

For instance, I received an EDM about Rendezvous Hotel and saw this amazing Singapore Staycation deal!

New-Rendezvous-Club

Rendezvous Weekend Getaway from S$298

  • 1-night stay in refurbished Club Room
  • 1-hr Thai Aroma Oil Body Massage
  • Cathay Movie Tickets
  • Exclusive access to Club Rendezvous lounge
  • Breakfast @ Club Rendezvous lounge
  • Daily comfort food @ Club Rendezvous lounge
  • Evening cocktail & canapés @ Club Rendezvous lounge
  • Complimentary refreshments throughout the day
  • Early check-in at 10am OR late check-out at 4pm
  • High-speed internet access

How not to succumb like that?! Staycation AND 1 hour body massage! Skai and I indulge in massages often and we thought this was a great promo! I immediately sent this promotion to a few of my Staycation loving friends and booked a hotel stay almost immediately!

On the day itself, we wanted to check in at the lobby but was ushered to the Club Rendezvous Lounge to check in instead.

And greedy us found out that there were light bites served so.... we ordered everything for lunch.

I can't emphasise this enough but.. I LOVE CLUB LOUNGES! Free flow of drinks, evening cocktails AND food!!!!

The hotel was operating on full capacity that day and we were lucky enough to be upgraded! Mwheeheheheee!

We had booked our massage at 7pm and we were surprised to find out that the massage was at Ayuthaya Royal Thai Spa at Rendezvous Gallery.

nadnut

nadnut

We enjoyed an hour massage of Thai oil massage. After the whole massage, we found out that it was worth $148 per person!!! Super great deal!

We managed to reach the lounge for a quick drink (Soda for me, wine for him) and some canapés.

nadnut

We received movie vouchers too but decided to utilise on another day as we wanted to nua. Honestly, the bed was extremely comfy! I would like that mattress for my new place!

The next day, we had breakfast at the Club Lounge too.

nadnut

nadnut

Nuaed till 4pm (we had opted for the late checkout) and headed back!

nadnut

Goodbye from #nadskai!

Did we think that it was worth it? Definitely! The massages itself was way more expensive than the whole price we paid for the hotel! I really love such promotions!

I think that we go for so many Singapore Staycations that friends have been asking us how much we've been spending on them! I guess Staycations are really a quick and easy alternative to take a break within Singapore plus we do not have our own place yet (getting our BTO next year!), it is a great way to have some couple time together!

It's a tradition for us to celebrate our birthdays and anniversaries with Staycations in Singapore or Holidays. Since the first year we got together, we've been doing so! We're thinking of where to celebrate my birthday next year! I don't think a trip overseas will be possible due to our leave blocked up for Maldives next year.. so looks like it'll be a Birthday Staycation again! Any recommendations where?

Skai aka c(hubby) and I had actually wanted to travel for his birthday weekend but that weekend was my ex-colleague Christine's church wedding! Needless to say, we decided to change our plans! Plus Chris had chope-ed me for a while back! Am glad that we attended her wedding, it was a beautiful and touching ceremony! <3

Instead, we decided to have a SIngapore Staycation at Village Hotel Albert Court! We really enjoyed my birthday celebration at Village Hotel Katong and when we saw a promo on a Colourful Weekend, I was hooked la. Colourful leh. Colours and Nadia = DONE DEAL.

I think nowadays, we got for Staycations to get ideas for our house next time. HAHAHAHA LOVE this bed! Wallpaper also chio but perhaps in a different colour for #nadskaihome?

Love the "water colour" stained tiles. Pity we can't change much for our new place as flooring, tiling are all included.

Untitled

Comfortable and spacious room.

We booked a deluxe room. The Colourful Weekend promo came with a Fabric Painting session. C(hubby) and I have been searching for fun activities to do during our #Sundates. And we loved the idea of a mini workshop during our staycations!

Untitled

We had a closed fabric painting session with an instructor. C(hubby) and I decided to do a piece together.

Untitled

We chose this piece! The instructor had already drew some outlines and all we had to do was colour it!

We really had fun! It's different painting with Acrylic as compared to Poster Colours! Can't wait to try other fun arty farty stuff with c(hubby)!

During our staycation, we nua-ed as woke up quite early for Christine's wedding so we felt super sleepy! That's the best thing about c(hubby), he doesn't mind nuaing. HAHAHHAA.

The next day, we woke up bright and early for the buffet breakfast. (breakfast is his thing, I usually prefer to sleep in)

The c(hubby) and I have a tradition. We always celebrate our birthdays with Singapore Staycations. Even though we've been married for like 2 years now, we still continue the tradition.

This time for my birthday, the hubby planned the staycation at Village Katong Hotel! But before that, I got a very cute carebears bouquet!

The foyer was spacious and it was a comfy place to hang out at. Our friend KM popped by and we entertained him there.

The bed was extremely comfy however I found it weird that the bathtub is located outside? Is this normal? Maybe iSuaku. The decor was gorgeous! I would love such a decor for my future place!

Untitled

I love that the fridge came well stocked with drinks! Thumbs up!

Untitled

Once again, another look at the decor! One of the most beautiful staycations ever!

We are a fan of club lounge facilities and I was thrilled to find out that he had specifically booked a room with these facilities! They had juices, chips, cookies, soft drinks and coffee. Quite well stocked!

Untitled

We went back to the Club Lounge for drinks. My birthday was less than a month before the wedding, so it was really a nice time for us to take some time off and relax as a couple.

Side note: I love my agnes b bangle from Jem! Thanks dear!

Time for a good soak! he had brought rose petal LOL! Super romantic!

Overall, we had such a great time at Village Katong Hotel. Seriously! This isn't a sponsored review! He paid for the whole staycation and I really enjoyed myself thoroughly 🙂 Couldn't bear to check out! For reference, our room was the Premier Peranakan Club Room. Currently they have a promotion which I find extremely value for money! Thinking of booking for our anniversary!

Village Hotel Katong Weekend Savers for couples: For $175++ for a Superior weekend room, enjoy breakfast for 2, complimentary WIFI and choose one of the three activities for free! What a great deal for a Singapore Staycation!
