Kenny and Joy from Grayling (yes, my ex-company :P) invited me for a great body flight experience (i.e. skydiving) at iFly Singapore a few weeks ago. I’ve always wanted to try skydiving (and bungee jumping) but never had the opportunity to do so. I also brought Ching Chong Boy with me!
Needless to say, when both Kenny and Joy presented this opportunity, I said YES immediately!
Here’s some background info on iFly.
– It’s the world’s largest indoor skydiving simulator.
– It’s the only wind tunnel that offers flyers an unparalleled view of the South China Sea and a nightly firework display from the nearby Songs of the SEA.
– Anyone from first timers to professional flyers can fly.
– 20 professional flyers can be accommodated at any one time.
– It’s a great full body workout!
– Local trained instructors has clocked in more than 50 hours of flight time. Impressive!

I loved that the entire body flight facility is themed like an airport terminal! Time to board!
Our very dashing and charming coach Johnathan Townsager prepared us for our flight!
He taught us the various hand signals and how we should move.
No time for butterflies in one’s tummy! It’s time to FLY!
Here’s where the magic happens!
First we have to SUIT UP!
We are provided with suits. Just remember to wear covered shoes with laces! If you do not have any, don’t fret! For you can always rent shoes at the counter. (Really decent ones!)
Masked superheroes we are not.

Some pictures of me flying! Don’t expect somersaults and what nots yet! It was quite tough balancing myself. Jonathan mentioned it will take more experience to do so.

It was a GREAT experience! The exhilaration, the thrill and for me, every time I dipped super low, I was afraid I’ll slam face down on the floor :X But of course, the charming Jonathan is here to save the day!
We all came out with a huge smile on our faces. (and a bit of dry mouth :X)
