My friend Cristal invited me to her workplace to try out some treatments! This is part one of the post, part two will be coming soon!

Do take note that I’m not being paid to write this and this is a honest review from me 🙂 I do however categorise this as a sponsored review as Cristal has kindly sponsored me these treatments (without any obligations).

Okay! Let’s get started!

I went to Beauty Host which is located at Bishan. Pls forgive the lack of photos. I took a few and I got Cristal to help me take some pictures but… I think must be censored lah. Shows a bit tooo much! :X

I tried out a Deep Tissue Meridian Massage (S$68). I mentioned to the therapist Jace casually that I was having a bit of a headache and she actually threw in a bit of gua sha for me.

Gua Sha has been called by many different terms such as spooning, scraping and even coining. It is used for various reasons such as to treat certain health problems for example headache and more commonly used to loosen tight and aching muscles. I personally feel it is also used to dispel heatiness in one’s body. After the gua sha treatment, my head felt much better. 🙂

Jace used the Thermal Red Pepper massage oil for the deep tissue massage. This massage oil gave both the warm and cool sensation. Jace explained to me that it helps to promote blood circulation and also relief muscle aches which was very suitable for me as I’ve been running often these days and was suffering from bad leg cramps. The Red Pepper oil is also great for slimming and also helps to reduce water retention. I didn’t see any reduction for water retention or slimming though but I guess one treatment isn’t enough to show drastic results.

I really enjoyed the massage and felt it helped ease both my back and leg aches.

The next thing I tried was something I have NEVER heard of before… it was the Ovarian Treatment (S$68)

The Ovarian Treatment helps to recuperate blood circulation, to ease blood clots and other blockages, improve the gastrointestinal discomfort and should be done monthly.

The therapist Joanne helped cleansed the tummy to pelvic area with a warm towel and applied herbal oil. She massaged my stomach and at some areas, it hurt a bit. She mentioned the massage helped to ease some blockages and that my next monthly would be smoother and less painful. She then burnt a herbal stick (coupled with the infrared light to help absorption) for a while and massaged my stomach again. I have yet to get my monthly, thus I can’t really say if it works but I definitely went through some “detox” the next day, if you get what I mean.

Definitely a very smooth and thorough journey. *coughs*

Anyway, I did my treatments here:
