Recipe: Deep Fried Potato with Mozzarella Cheese

Last recipe to share! For those who were wondering, I was not paid to share these posts, the hubby and I was just invited to experience the Master Class. :p

I will be sharing the recipe for Deep Fried Potato with Mozzarella Cheese where both the hubby and I helped to prepare.

Ingredients:

– 200g Perfect Italiano Mozzarella Grated Cheese
– 400g potatoes
– 50g corn starch
– 50g chopped onion
– 5g cinnamon
– 5g ground black pepper
– 5g curry powder
– 2 eggs
– 4 garlic cloves
– 30g minced lemongrass
– 20g minced shallots
– 300g Japanese breadcrumbs (panko)
– Lemon zest
– Oil to fry

Shred potatoes in food processor and place in strainer. Sprinkle with salt and drain for 15 mins. Chef Lino has kindly prepared the potatoes for us 😀

Mix dry seasonings.

Add cornstarch and all remaining ingredients (except panko crumbs and oil).

Mix well. We also added the Perfect Italiano Mozzarella Grated Cheese here and mixed it in.

Shaped the mixture into balls, or in our case, the hubby made them into heart shape for me. (WHEE!)

Coat the potato with panko crumbs. Make sure to coat thoroughly!

Heat oil in pan. Lower patties into oil and flatten patties with a spatula.

Fry until crispy and golden brown on both sides.

Serve it whichever way you’ll like! For us, we cut it into bite sized pieces!

Honestly speaking, this dish was wasn’t as yummy as the rest. I thought it was a bit bland. Personally, I would have preferred if we had added chicken inside, made it into a chicken croquette. But some of the other bloggers really enjoyed this dish so perhaps, it’s just us?

My favourite dish would still have to be the Wonton Ravioli with Soya Marinated Prawns and Parmesan Fondue!
