nadnut feels like an antisocial bastard (at times) too.

One of my favourite bloggers mooiness mentioned about being an antisocial bastard and i feel the same.

I sound like I’m an anti-social bastard, and that is true. I have to be in the mood or I have to know you well and like spending time with you, or both, to be able to make small talk and let it mean something more than just you know, small talk. I think you deserve more than just empty words. Everyone does really. I don’t want your empty words, and I’m sure you don’t want mine.

Sometimes i hate meeting certain individuals in social situations. I don’t get why some people just love to put other people down. An ego boost maybe? And I FUCKING hate when they keep talking to me. So yeah, if all you wanna do is put me down and all, I rather not be “blessed” with your presence.

I usually like meeting people and genuinely getting to know them but at times I’m really tired. All I want to do is spend some quiet time on my own or with 1 or 2 friends and it gets tiring having to keep making small talk when the other party hardly makes an effort.

So yeah, I’m an antisocial bastard at times too. It’s not you, it’s me.

  1. i think i did blog about something similar. can’t tahan small talk as well at times and would rather be left alone than forced into a social setting which makes me feel awkward/weird/sick.

  3. yes, do it. it’s much too tiring to keep up a pretense and make small talk when you don’t really want to do it – it’s not worth the effort when the other party might be undeserving.

especially during your private time (i.e. when you’re not at work..or at a work-related function etc).
