I was invited for a food tasting session at Yellow Submarines Cheesesteaks some time back. When I first heard about the location, I was extremely excited. It was located very nearby my hubby’s place!
Yellow Submarines Cheesesteaks operates as a fastfood restaurant concept.
You order at the counter and wait at the pickup area to well, pick up your food. (duh!)
Here are the items we ordered!
Honestly speaking, the corn was nothing spectacular. It was quite bland and not juicy. But who goes to a cheesesteak place for corn right? (Maybe the corny ones. hurhur)
We both thoroughly enjoyed the Torpedo Fries which are well, basically cheese fries. It was practically dripping with cheese! They were very generous with the cheese! Me love!
We tried both the chicken and cheese. Handphone in the pic for comparison sake.
I thought that the taste and presentation of the Chic Submarine was really bad. Nothing spectacular. Definitely not worth the price. And not worth typing these sentences over.
The Yellow Submarines Cheesesteak Classic was delicious! It was afterall my first time trying cheesesteaks and definitely not my last. I thought the whole combination of beef, cheese and onion go oh so well with each other. It was like a match made in heaven. Well, a threesome match here. The hubby however did not like the onions but thats because he never really liked much onions in the first place. But be warned, this is a bit messy to eat. I would advice asking them to help slice the sandwich into two. Portionwise, it’s rather small I felt. I could have gobbled another in a heartbeat.
We tried the Dino Chick Junior which were basically nuggets in dinosaur shapes. Even though we couldn’t recognise some of the shapes, we thought it was really cute!
For desserts, we had both the Choco Bomber and NY Cheese Hunt. At S$2.80 per piece, we thought it was really value for money!
We had a great time at Yellow Submarines Cheesesteaks and we are definitely sure to pop by frequently. Just remember, stick to the cheesesteaks. Order the speciality!
