I think most of my Monday's Musings entries comes from real life experiences. When irked, amused, I think it makes good content for Monday's boliaoness posts.

Previously I wrote a piece "5 Things That Change Once You've Been Married" back in 2014. Since  then, I've embarked into a new role, as a mother.

Decided to blog about how things have changed since then. I’ll like to hear from other parents on things that have changed for you! Please do comment on this 5 Things That Change Once You've Become A Parent entry!

1. You'll never sleep well ever again.

Waking up every 3 hours because the baby needs to feed or change his diaper. Yeah. Especially if he's breastfed, he'll need to feed more frequently than formula fed babies.

After 6 months, Aidan has kinda slept thru the night. Sleeping thru the night means 5 hours. So, that's the best I can get. 5 hours of sleep at a stretch. I'll take whatever I can get.

2. You'll never stop worrying.

During my pregnancy, we had a few scares. My gynae shared with us some advice. He said "we'll never stop worrying as parents." And it's so true!

You'll worry if he's not eating well, if he's gaining too much weight, not gaining enough weight, has his monthly jabs, have not started flipping like his peers, have started flipping. Basically everything. Just the other week, Aidan had a fever (not related to any jabs). Needless to say, I freaked out. Skai, being the more rationale one, told me to calm the fuck down. -_-"

Gave him some paracetamol and sponged him. His fever soon disappeared.

3. You'll take more pictures of your baby than of yourself.

Forget selfies or wefies with your partner. The only pics that matter are your babies. Sometimes you'll take wefies with your baby but most of the time, it is just a whole lot of spam pics of your child.

4. You'll feel that time passes by way too fast.

Every single day, I feel that he's growing up way too fast. Do I wish that I had the luxury to stay at home with him? Every single day.

Do I feel guilty about not spending enough time with him? Every single fucking day.

Honestly, most days, I hardly hang out with friends. Many times colleagues would ask me out for dinner etc, but all I want to do is rush home and see my boy. Goodbye social engagements and blogger events. Maybe once in a fortnight, perhaps.

5. You'll never stop learning.

You probably thought that after university, you'll never have to read or study again.

YOU ARE SO WRONG.

I have never researched so much in my life before. Reading about pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and now weaning.

It's been a while since I wrote a pet peeves piece or a Monday's musings piece as I've been tired, busy chasing for our renovation shit stuff (gosh, that deserves a Monday's musings piece by itself).

I've "accumulated" lots of irritating habits others have that I'll like to share that fucking annoys me. So here's my post on Pregnancy Pet Peeves!

How come you are so pro baby now?

I'm not. All along, I wasn't ready for a kid. But I'm in this situation now, so I make the best out of it. What do you expect me to do? Mope all day that I'm preggers, not ask around for information and basically chuck the baby one side after I give birth?

Honestly I'm not ready for this and looking at other babies have not given me any motivations nor any 'baby loving feels'.

Why you drink cold water / why you eat lamb etc?

Gosh guys. This is super annoying. I already kena from family and the last thing I need is from others. I got so pissed at a family lunch once that I refused to eat anything then and rather eat after that.

Nagging.

Gosh. JUST SAY IT ONCE. Don't go on and on!

Why are you so big?

Seriously? It's like asking why am I so fat? I don't know lah! This is my first pregnancy, how would I know why I'm so big? Because I have a shorter torso and the baby doesn't grow OVER my boobs or vagina?

You must be suffering from pregnancy brain.

I get this at work. I find it annoying when colleagues try to do things verbally (I've always told them to send an email as a black and white trail). If there is no email, it didn't happen. It's one thing for ME to blame it on my "pregnancy brain" but it's annoying for others to push it to that WHEN they jolly well did not send an email.

Surprisingly, things like friends touching my belly totally doesn't affect me at all, I think friends are even scared to touch my belly hahahaha. And honestly, pregnancy is fucking scary. I don't understand how my body works and there are mysterious aches and pains and weird sensations each time.

Am hitting my third trimester next week. And there's so much to do. I need to research on the types of things to buy (need a stroller, breast pump, steriliser, cot/playpen, confinement lady, jamu massage, A WHOLE LOT MORE STUFF gosh). Just want my house pronto so I can settle all these. -_-"

More updates on the pregnancy soon!

Toxic friends. We have plenty. I personally encountered plenty when I was younger. As I grow older, I decided that some things and some friends are not worthwhile.

There are some that I tolerate throughout the years but seriously, I've recently have grown very little  tolerance of them. Here is my list of Types of Friends That You Should Chuck!

1. Those who talk bad about others because of their own agenda.

I saw this in action. Because said individual's services were not utilised, said individual talked bad about our mutual friend. I find this very scary especially when dealing with friends in sales. Just because I choose not to use your services, you find it offensive. Personally, when it comes to any form of sales, I rather not to use personal friends. But that's me. After the thrash talk, my impression of the said indvidual went down to rock bottom.

2. Spoilt brats that need a rude awakening.

You know how you have some friends that complain and bitch just because the world does not revolve around them? In particular, the strawberry generation. The only strawberries that you should have around you are those that can be eaten.

3. The whiny and complain queen.

Why this? Why that? Why you like this? Why you like that? Shut the fuck up.

4. Those who laugh behind others.

Sure, you can laugh with them. If they have EVERYTHING to say about your mutual friends, do you think that they won't have anything to say about you?

5. The selfish.

Always wanting others to do stuff for them but hardly willing to volunteer to help others. Friendship is a two-way street. Not one.

6. The one with the agenda.

Wanting to call you out only to attend a sales call? Call that bluff immediately.

Of course there are more. I read this article recently and thought it was so true. Chuck such toxic friends out of your lives. I prefer to adopt the distance method personally for those who aren't that close in the first place.

Say goodbye and good riddance! You don't need such negativity in your life!

Facebook Dislike

As someone who works in social media, I'm afraid about what the Facebook Dislike button would mean to my accounts.

Imagine the horror of getting thousands of dislikes!

On a personal basis, I am really looking forward to the implementation of the Facebook Dislike button. Hello cyberbullying! (i kid)

But seriously, we had our fair share of freaking irritating Facebook statuses. This is where the Facebook Dislike button will come in handy.

1. Complain kings

STFU guys. Yes, you had a bad day **cue Daniel Powter**, stop going on and on again. But perhaps the complain kings would like that we disliked! I mean when you read a sad/angry post, are you supposed to like the post? a bit weird right!

Passive aggressive people would just say that they disliked to show how they sympathise with you I guess?

2. Humblebrags

Kaoz. Enough la. We all know you lead a very healthy life or that you had a promotion at work or whatever.

DISLIKE THE STATUS!!! Cos I'm not in Europe when you are. BAH.

3. Fights with their significant other

We do not need to be part of that shit. GET A ROOM!

4. Spam.

No. I do not want to know about that promotional pic of a sunglass that you tagged me on. Do I look like a pair of raybans?

5. Lame shit.

Like chain letters, silly personality tests etc

6. MLM/Insurance/Time share stuff

We get it, it's your living. We just don't wanna be SPAMMED all the time about it.

There you go! that's my 6 ways to use it! HAH! Are there any that I missed out? Feel free to comment!
