As mentioned in my previous blog entry about my second honeymoon in Maldives, I promised to share the difference between All Inclusive, Full Board and Half Board packages in Maldives.

When we were researching about where to stay in Maldives, we were shocked at the many different types of packages available.

Thankfully, as we were no strangers to the Club Med concept (having visited Club Med Bintan and Club Med Phuket), we were able to wrap our heads around the various packages available.

Here's #nadskai's interpretation of the very many Maldives packages available!

[Invited Food Tasting]

It's been a while since I visited Park Hotel Clarke Quay since my last Singapore Staycation. The kind folks from Park Hotel Clarke Quay invited me over to one of their restaurants, Brizo Restaurant to sample their latest launch: the Taste of Singapura buffet.

To celebrate the nation’s 50th year milestone, Brizo Restaurant & Bar is launching a brand new nostalgic Singapore seafood and local dinner buffet. The Taste of Singapura buffet brims with flavoursome seafood and scrumptious local delights to evoke national pride. Stealing the limelight in the main buffet spread are distinctive local flavours such as the Salted Egg Crayfish, aromatic Fish Head Curry made with a homemade curry paste of Indian spices, Wok-fried La-la (clam) in Soya Bean Paste, Butter Prawns with Curry Leaves, Har Cheong Gai (Prawn Paste Chicken) and Kam Heong Sotong (Squid in Fragrant Curry Sauce).

This is a Sundate - #nadskai at it's best entry. For more info about the themed blog posts, do read the entry here.

First up, I gotta state this upfront. Skai aka c(hubby) and I love Staycations. We have had friends keep making fun of us going for staycations. I don't see what's so wrong about going for staycations. Instead of exchanging expensive gifts or extravagant bouquets of flowers for birthdays or Valentine's Day, we instead choose to go for a staycation.

Some prefer to spend on an expensive watch or some jewellery, we prefer staycations. What's wrong with that? Tsk. Jin irritating. It's our money, what is it to them sia?!

ANYWAY, it's pretty much our tradition to go for a staycation to celebrate our birthdays. And as my birthday is a week away from Valentine's Day, we usually celebrate two occasions into one.

For this year, Skai surprised me by booking a staycation at Royal Plaza at the Scotts! I have been to Carousel for dinner before but this was our first time staying at Royal Plaza at the Scotts!

Skai had booked a higher tier, the Royal Club (as opposed to the Superior and Deluxe rooms) as we really enjoy hotels with Club Lounge services but because we checked in late (due to a lovely lunch at Koh Grill), we got upgraded! Also, because my birthday falls during the peak season, most of the time, the hotels are operating at high occupancy. WHAT LUCK IS THIS?! We got upgraded to a suite! **DOES A HAPPY DANCE**

[Sponsored Review]

The kind folks from the Park Hotel Group invited Skai aka c(hubby) to experience a lovely Staycation with them.

Disclaimer: While this Staycation was sponsored, I was not expected to review the hotel.

I had actually stayed at two other Park Hotels previously. I had booked the Grand Park City Hall for a Birthday Staycation with the hubby and was invited by Grand Park Hotel Orchard to host my bridesmaids staycation previously. Needless to say, I was extremely excited to see how Park Hotel Clarke Quay would fare against it's sister hotels.

[Invited Event]

Park Hotel had invited some of us bloggers for a Blogger Appreciation Dinner at Park Hotel City Hall not too long ago.

In fact, I thought it was really smart (and also sneaky) of them to use the Blogger Appreciation Dinner to introduce some of their Christmas offerings!

I brought Skai aka c(hubby) and my BFF to the dinner and we really enjoyed ourselves! Totally non-pushy event coupled with good company and good food.

Thanks Park Hotel for the lovely Blogger Appreciation Dinner and the Rainbow Cake!

For those who are looking for places to eat for Christmas Eve, Christmas or even New Year's, perhaps you can consider Grand Park City Hall or Park Hotel Clarke Quay. The food pictures shown above were from both hotels. Lunch ranges from $45++ to $78++ (for adults, without free flow alcohol) while dinner ranges from $58++ to $98++ (again, for adults, without free flow alcohol).

Aside from that, the Park Hotel Group also are offering take-home items if you are looking to host Christmas dinners at home. They have goodies such as Christmas Turkeys, Kurobuta Pork Loin, Log Cakes and my personal favourite: The Santa's Christmas Rainbow Cake.

If you are looking for a Singapore Staycation, why not consider the Park Hotel Group? I've stayed in Grand Park City Hall for a birthday staycation and Grand Park Hotel Orchard for a bridesmaid staycation before and have enjoyed myself tremendously.
