Taking up dance classes.
Monday, October 10th, 2011
Friends will know that Ching Chong Boy and I love to dance. We met at a club (via mutual friends) and we always go clubbing and dance together.

Pls ignore the blubber. T.T
Recently we decided to pick up an activity together and we decided to check out Mosaic Dance. Long time readers (if there’s any of you guys left -_-) would know that I used to take Salsa from Attitude Dance Studio.

I found out that one of the instructors I knew has moved to Mosaic Dance and I found out that a colleague is taking West Coast Swing classes there too. I decided to check out the studio. Fidel also mentioned that she was thinking of taking dance classes with Jeremy and thus we went down together.

We signed up for this trial session where you could pay $30 for 2 weeks of unlimited dance & fitness classes! One thing interesting about Mosaic Dance as compared to other dance studios is that it works more of a membership based payment rather than pay for classes. In other words, you pay a certain amount a month and you can attend every class available! Something like a gym membership imo.
Review: Deluxe Hair Spa at Jean Yip Loft
Friday, October 7th, 2011
Some time ago, Christine from Jean Yip invited me to check out Jean Yip Loft. And as usual, I brought my BFF to check out the place!

The Jean Yip Loft is the first beauty wellness and lifestyle concept building in Singapore. It is a unique lifestyle concept, offering a host of beauty and wellness services such as hairdressing, facial, massage, spa, nail services for both men and women.
Before going thru the Deluxe Hair Spa experience I had, here’s a brief intro of Jean Yip Loft. This lovely one-stop beauty and wellness escapade has 7 floors which covers different services all within one single building.
In this way, you could pop to various floors for different services and walk out feeling fully pampered (and looking like a brand new woman/man!)
In order of the floors, here are the services that they provide.

1st Floor: Lifestyle Cafe & Retail
2nd Floor: Multi-Purpose Hall
3rd Floor: Scalp & Hair Treatment by OHS
4th Floor: Massage/Hand, Foot & Nail Spa
5th Floor: Ladies Wellness Spa
6th Floor: Wellness Spa for Couples/Men
7th Floor: Rooftop Spa Pool & Bar
Christine had kindly offered both Jacelyn and I a complimentary treatment and we opted for the Deluxe Hair Spa.
Ching Chong Boy’s birthday celebration – Birthday party at Boiler Room
Wednesday, September 28th, 2011Last year we had a surprise birthday party but this year I didn’t plan a surprise birthday party. Why so? I explained to Ching Chong Boy that it wouldn’t be a surprise since he would anticipate me doing so. Only the first year will be a surprise :X
Anyway, Ching Chong Boy wanted to party at Boiler Room for his birthday (*coughs* that was where we first met btw! :p). He invited a few of his close friends and it was partayyyyyy time!
Sadly, we didn’t know about the birthday package that was available at St James and bought a bottle instead. Bo hua!

This is mainly a pictorial entry, because… there isn’t much to say about clubbing! Erm, music, drink, dance?
Pictures by Yen and meself!
First up, our outfits of the day!

Ching Chong Boy’s birthday celebration – Staycation at Grand Park City Hall Hotel
Monday, September 26th, 2011
I’ve skipped the proper sequence I know. I should have blogged about this before the Star Virgo entry
oops!
Last year’s birthday celebration was full of surprise but this year’s was a bit less “surprising”.
A few days before his birthday, I told Ching Chong Boy that we were going for a staycation the day before his birthday. He was extremely surprised as he had thought the cruise was the only thing he was getting for his birthday. :X
We stayed at Grand Park City Hall Hotel which is located at City Hall (duh, it’s name is pretty obvious :X) and is conveniently located near City Hall mrt station.

“Grand Park City Hall is strategically located within the historically vibrant Civic District. Within walking distance are some of Singapore’s oldest and historical landmarks – a living glimpse into the city-state’s history.
The ten-storey atrium hotel combines the charm of restored, century-old shophouses and modern architecture, providing an interesting mix that has earned it the prestigious Architectural Heritage Award.
Grand Park City Hall is also within the Central Business District and the new Downtown, providing easy access for business needs. The hotel is next to Raffles City, Suntec and Marina Bay shopping hubs, providing guests endless retail therapy possibilities.”

We stayed in a Deluxe Room at the Crystal Club Floor.
Ching Chong Boy’s birthday celebration – My Star Virgo 6D5N cruise to Ho Chi Minh & Redang experience!
Friday, September 23rd, 2011
Remember my previous entry? I had celebrated Ching Chong Boy’s birthday by arranging for a staycation and massage the day before his birthday (which I will blog about it later…) and for his birthday, we went for a cruise! To be exact, the Star Virgo 6D5N cruise to Ho Chi Minh & Redang. This was made possible by Nuffnang and Star Cruises! <3

I figured that blogging by each activities day by day might be a tad messy and confusing to read thus I decided to go thru the following in this order!
1.The room
2. The makan places
3. The facilities
4. The activities
5. Ho Chi Minh
6. Redang
Random camwhoring pictures will be inserted in between. :X
I had brought along Colin who brought along Ivan! Glad to have them on this trip! Great company
We enjoyed a rather VIP check in, very hassle free and my Guest Service Officer Vivian was a great help. She helped arranged for all tours and reservations!

We were treated with a welcome drink and was given a tour of the facilities and restaurants in Star Virgo.
Outfit of the day: Uber casual me.
Tuesday, September 13th, 2011
Ching Chong Boy and I had planned to head to Marina Barrage for kite flying and a picnic and I decided to dress casually, unlike my usual dress combos.

Happy Birthday Ching Chong Boy!
Sunday, September 11th, 2011
Last year, we had the 4 days of celebration! But this year, we will have 7 days of celebration!
Didn’t exactly surprised him this year though! The day before his birthday, we had a staycation (am still staying here!) at Grand Plaza City Hall Hotel! Enjoyed a spa session (surprise for him!) and we are currently partying at Boiler Room with his friends!
Tomorrow we’ll check out and we’ll head to…………………………
a 6D5N cruise trip! To be exact, Star Virgo to Ho Chi Minh and Redang! <3
Updates when I’m back! But in the meantime, pls leave a comment here wishing my birthday boy (though I did call him a birthday brat :X) a very happy 27th birthday!
Am proud of the boyfriend!
Monday, September 5th, 2011Ching Chong Boy called me to share with me something that happened on the roads earlier.
While he was on the highway, a smaller bike rode up to him and revved his engine loudly while giving looks to my bf. He basically was challenging him to a race. (Apparently it’s a common thing. -_-”)
The biker on smaller bike made a lot of noise, revving his engine and was making a nuisance of himself on the roads by making sure everyone heard him loud.
My boyfriend ignored him and went on his way leisurely despite the biker constantly taunting him.
I asked Ching Chong Boy why did he ignore the bike and why did he not engage in a “war” with him.
He replied that the biker may want to endanger his life and show off to everyone of his skills but little did he know, everyone found him a nuisance. He saw no need to rise to his challenge.
I am so proud of him! Am glad that he did not engage in such a senseless race with an immature idiot.
Moral of the story: Just because someone tries to engage you in a war, there is no need to do so. Just be the bigger person and let it go.
