Bite-sized reviews #3

Here’s the third edition of bite-sized reviews!
The kind folks at RoC had passed me both their Soleil Protection+ (sunblock) and the Keops (deodorant).

Sunblock is extremely important. As we grow older, we tend to have age spots, freckles and skin ages extremely fast. I use sunblock everyday without fail. I tried the RoC’s sunblock and felt that it isn’t sticky (I have a pet peeve for uber sticky products), no strong smells and doesn’t leave any residue. I like it!

KEOPS is a deodorant that boasts to last for 24 hours and is both fragrance and alcohol free. Personally I kinda prefer deodorants with fragrance but I guess fragrance free would be better for my skin?

My mum and I have been a huge fan of the ROC Extra Comfort Cleansing Water. Well, to be exact, my mum has been a huge fan and I have been just stealing her stuff to use
It’s good for light makeup or just simple cleansing in my opinion but definitely not for heavy duty makeup.
For heavier makeup, I would recommend using the Cleansing Express Makeup Remover instead.

Here’s the giftpack I received at one of their events. I used the makeup remover and it’s fantastic! Even removed my stubborn Majolica Majorca mascara! My three favourite eye makeup removers would be: ZA’s Cleansing Oil, Loreal’s Eye and Lip makeup remover and Cleansing Express.
The kind folks at Grayling and Boots had sent over some lovely sweet smelling Boots products.

I have yet to try the Body Wash and Shower Gel but I’ve tried out the lovely Boots Amazon Forest Mango & Babassu Body Butter.

This extremely rich body butter smells heavenly and is extremely nourishing for my skin. I suffer from dry skin and I find that it’s fantastic for me. Super moisturising. Highly recommended!
Disclaimer: Most of the products here were given by the respective brands or the PR agencies. Will highlight in blue if they were provided by them. I am however not paid to write any good stuff and am not obligated to even write about them.
Outfit of the day: The mermaid dress that I wore for #NAPBAS!
Thursday, January 12th, 2012
You’ve all seen the nails I had on for the Nuffnang Asia Pacific Blog Awards, now here’s the dress! I am hesitant in sharing where to buy the dress as the shop stocks a crazy amount of gorgeous dresses which is suitable for glam events!

The dress is extremely body-hugging. It’s in a gorgeous shade of blue, a halter neck with black gemstones.

I did consider the option of wearing a bra with this dress but the effect was rather… OTT.
Errr, pics below.

Here’s part two of my Bite-sized reviews series!
As some of you guys may know, I’m a huge fan of the Elizabeth Arden Prevage series, especially the Day moisturiser.

The kind folks at Elizabeth Arden invited some of us beauty and lifestyle bloggers and shared on the Prevage series. They had also kindly gifted Prevage Anti-aging Night Cream for us to try out.

The night cream might be a bit costly to many but I find that it’s a worthwhile investment. Not only have I seen results from the cream, I absolutely adore the packaging.
Part One of “How he had proposed…”
Thursday, December 15th, 2011Remember the previous post? Friends were asking how he proposed…
I was compiling the pictures and BFF had kindly added some subtitles into the video, so here’s the whole story! What happened was that: Fidelis and I had discussed about heading down to Lush Singapore. I wanted to buy some bathbombs for both the Staycation at Oasia Hotel and the NAPBAS.
Jio-ed both BFF and Esther along and we decided to make it a girly outing! For some reason, Fidelis suddenly proclaimed that we would be having a mystery makan session that day.
I was feeling uber nua that day and was in slackeroo wear. Didn’t even want to slap on makeup in the first place. For some reason, both Esther and BFF mentioned that they will be late. I decided to put on a bitttt of makeup that day.
Met Fidelis at Lush and we shopped away, met up with Esther, BFF mentioned she is still stuck. We grabbed a small bite, met BFF then headed off to ION for dinner.
I was still thinking to myself that the Japanese Restaurant looked quite expensive

All this time, I was bbm-ing Ching Chong Boy. We usually tell each other where we were going. He mentioned he just reached home and I remarked that the restaurant looked pretty pricey.

We were still laughing over how they spelt Fidel’s surname as Ms Ton instead of Ms Toh. If you look closely, you’ll see a faint number 5 below which is supposed to indicate the number of people. Obviously, I didn’t notice this.
We ordered food and while waiting for the food to arrive, we did what girls usually do.
Camwhore.

We then chatted etc then suddenly BFF asked Fidel to take a picture of us. Didn’t think much about it. Actually… Fidel was taking a video!
And then…

Part two coming soon!
Outfit of the day: The “Pom-pom” outfit.
Sunday, November 27th, 2011
I absolutely adore this outfit. Mainly because of the top/dress. I wore it as a top but I guess, if I was daring enough, I could wear it as a short dress with some leggings!
I love how the top flares and I gotta admit that I twirled around bimbotically at home a few times in this outfit.

I hardly dress in such colours. But I thought it was a nice change from my cheery colours.

Outfit breakdown:
Top/Dress: from TheBlogShop
Belt: from TheBlogShop
Jeggings: from Bkk
Wedges: Online shop

Review: Mellben Seafood
Sunday, November 20th, 2011
I’ve been going to Mellben Seafood rather regularly since the Toa Payoh outlet is just opposite Ching Chong Boy‘s place. And everytime I tweet or check in via Foursquare, I tend to evoke certain responses from my BFF Jace.
“Wah so shiok!”
“Bo jio!”
“I also want“
Ching Chong Boy and I decided to “jio” Jace and Boss (that’s what she calls her bf!) to Mellben Seafood one weekend. We did not make any reservations but we reached rather early at 6pm as from previous experiences, it tends to get rather crowded from 6.30pm onwards.

Plug: A Private Room – Affordable and stylish lingerie
Tuesday, November 8th, 2011
My friend Sharon has set up her own online store called A Private Room! She set up something different as compared to the many blogshops out there! Her main product range? Lingerie & Sleepwear/Pajamas. *wolf whistles*

I think it’ll be a huge hit! Girls who are a bit shy or do not have the time, can always purchase their sexy lingerie online! While boys can purchase naughty gifts for their girlfriends without being given judging looks from sales people. :X
Here are some of the products from A Private Room that I’ll be reviewing today!
