I was invited to a tasting at Stellar by the lovely Immelia some time ago. We had some time before the tasting and we decided to enjoy a cocktail at 1-Altitude before heading down.

Coupled with good music, a great view and a drink in hand, it is no wonder that 1-Altitude is a hit with dating couples and office executives. A great place to unwind after a stressful day at work!

We were soon ushered to Stellar at 1-Altitude and was immediately impressed by yet another gorgeous view. We were brought to The Private Dining Room where we enjoyed a well, private dining experience! I think it's the perfect place to entertain business associates and vvvvvvips!

We were there to try The Stellar Gastronomic Menu which features a range of progressive food that stay rooted to the traditions of classic cooking techniques, except this time, providing diners with more flexibility. Diners get to choose from up to 19 items to make up a 4, 5 or 6-course tasting menu that includes the likes of Hokkaido Scallop, Truffle Gnocchi and the Yellow Fin Tuna.

Each dish features a star ingredient that comes with a cast of flavours, textures and aromas to create a unique yet varied dining experience.

While waiting for our food, we indulged in this lovely bread basket.

We first started with the Scallop ($28). It was basically an open ravioli of scallop and parmesan, custard, pear and zucchini paper. The whole sensation of the scallop was sensational. Personally, I'll never think that scallop could go so well with parmesan AND custard. It blended well together and left a variety of flavours dancing on my tongue. Coupled with the zucchini paper, it left some texture in an otherwise mushy dish.

I was really looking forward to the Bone marrow. ($24). I'm half malay man, I love my Soup Tulang, marrow and all. This was a rather unique fushion take to an otherwise classical marrow dish. Bone marrow fritters was mixed with crispy pork bits, parsley salad and sauce gribiche. I never thought I was against parsley till today. Now I understand why Xiaxue dislikes parsley so much. The dish was nice though a tad oily and salty for my liking.

I tried resisting the Aglio Uni ($44) due to the sheer carbiness of it all but I totally succumbed. Wood fired king prawns was served with capellini, leek, ebi sakura with smoked sea urchin butter. I did think that the capellini was a tad overdone for my liking but the wood fired king prawns totally made up for it. One of my favourite dishes!

I was left really confused at the Yellow Fin Tuna ($44) which was a wood fired yellow fin tuna with rissoni, broadbeans, petit pois, mint, fromage blanc and pickled cucumber. The rissoni made me rather perplexed. Was it rice or was it pasta. In the end, I found out that it was pasta in the shape of rice. The yellow fin tuna was extremely delish.

We were extremely spoiled with this lovely meat platter (not offered with the normal Gastronomic Menu). We sampled various cuts of meat such as Rib Eye, Tenderloin and Wagyu Sirloin.

The dessert experience was extremely jaw dropping. A choice of sweets was offered where one will experience the “dessert art,” where the pastry chef comes to the table to prepare whichever sweet you fancy, be it the Amazing French Strawberries and Rhubarb Glacee, the Flaming Alaska Baked or the Valrhona Chocolate Bomb. Dessert with a showmanship. It is a MUST to order this. Watch the chef prep your dessert from start to finish.

This menu is served only for dinner and priced at $95++ for a 4-course, $120++ for a 5-course and $140++ for a 6-course. All items in the menu can also be ordered as an a la carte but are available for both lunch and dinner.

Great place to wow a special someone!

I love the packaging! It totally reminds me of back to school times, where we have crayons, colour pencils and markers in  paper boxes. This lovely box houses 9 gorgeous lip glosses.

Do the twist and the lovely goodness starts oozing out!

HUGE FAN HERE!

Not only does it smell great with it's fruity flavour and fragrance, the colour payoff is fab! Personally to me, I think it lasts quite long and has the right amount of gloss and isn't sickly sticky like how some glosses are.

ChurpChurp organises fun #ChurpOut sessions regularly and I attended the Mid-autumn one a few months back!

It was a simple gathering where we all met up to catch up, makan and just chillax!

We sampled very yummy mooncakes from HongKong's leading mooncake brand Meixin alongside other snacks prepared by the nuffies including Pizza Hut's new pizza, the Fully Loaded pizza!

I love the snowskin moon cake! Super shiok!

Love their fun photo booth! Can't wait for my very own during #project1314!

A photo with Esther before I had to run off! Can't wait to attend the next #ChurpOut session!

Oh geewiz! In a blink of an eye, it has been a year since I married c(hubby).

Skai & Nadia Webisode Four- ROM at the Singapore Flyer from The Wedding Paparazzi on Vimeo.

Oh my god. I realised that there are a 101 things that we haven't done and I'm lost! So unlike my ROM.

Let's see.. things we've done.

- Booked our venue. Thankfully settled this in the earlier part of the year. We booked Orchard Hotel in Feb this year, had hiccups with them when our sales guy Dan left and no one informed us and some misc nonsense happened. Hopefully things will run smoothly now with our new wedding coordinator Oliver. He's thankfully very on the ball. Phew!

- Booked our photographer(s). Hired UnderTheStars from the referral of Cindy, my makeup artist. Also hired my friend Colin to take behind the scenes and candid shots for us.

- Booked our videographer. We used The Wedding Paparazzi for our ROM and we LOVED their video for us. Needless to say, we booked them again.

- Booked our photobooth. The kind folks from La Novella will be sponsoring my photobooth. Met them at Jessica's birthday and I was wowed by their works. Can't wait to see Jessica's pics from her 21st Birthday party!

- Booked our bridal studio. The kind folks from Bridal Closet will be sponsoring the gowns for my wedding. Thank you!! Their packages are very affordable! Do take a look at their packages!

- Booked my makeup artist. Cindy from Colorpots kindly offered to sponsor us again. THANK YOU! SO MUCH LOVE! I love her works and I feel that she did such a great job for my ROM. <3

- Finished our pre-wedding shoot in Korea. Great experience in Korea. Horrible experience with the editors. In the end, we decided to concede and just accept whatever after so many changes. Just wanna accept my album and close case.

- "Choped'' my bridesmaids. All bloggers bridesmaids! <3 I will be having 5 bridesmaids! I will be blogging about these lovely ladies soon!

- Sent a 'save the date' sms to my guests. WHEE! Thank you to everyone who replied really fast!

Things we have yet to do.

- Finalise our wedding outfits. Way too many lovely outfits at Bridal Closet. Dasha, the owner told me not to lose anymore weight. MUAHAHAHAHA. I LOVE HER MAN! Here's a gown I tried on but did not select. After gaining like what 3kg after my ROM, I still look okay leh. Never even use corset. MWHEHEHEE. Good gowns = look slim.

nadnut, nadnut wedding, #project1314, Singapore Lifestyle Blog, Singapore Wedding Blog

- Finalise our wedding and floral decorator. Hoping to finalise this soon. My friend Vic recommended a company to us and we hope to finalise this soon.

- Finalise our theme. Apparently the wedding outfits affects the theme. WAI DID I NOT KNOW THIS EARLIER?! GG MAX DOT COM. Also haven't finalise the decorator. LOLOLOL.

- Print our invites. Theme affects design. Theme can't settle till we settle outfits. Oh boy. See above. OH NO.

- Do the chapalang guodali cheenabong stuff. I NEED ADVISE HERE. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO? OMG MAX. I so not cheena and dunno what is what. Been researching but wah lao eh, so many different things.

- Do up the wedding itinerary. Errrr. HELP?! Anyone has any examples? 😀

- Have yet to book our wedding car. Not sure if we need to book? We are looking to simplify everything and have the gatecrash at the hotel. Tea ceremony at the hotel. Sua.

- Need to settle bridesmaids outfits. Need to settle theme. Everything seem to lie on the theme. HO SEY.

- Need to settle 'tasks' for the brothers and sisters. Gulps.

- DIY wedding angpao box. Saw a nice design, wanna dooooo it. Gonna bully ask my bridesmaids to help me with this.

- Settle honeymoon matters. Leave booked. But have yet to plan itinerary or book tickets.

- Find out more about the tea ceremony yadda yadda. Apparently this can turn out political. Must be very very careful.

- Decide if we're having a band.

- Work on finalised guest list.

- Work on table arrangements. Apparently this can turn out political. Must be very very careful.

I'm sure I missed out something. OMG. I should have just hired a wedding organiser. Or quit my job and plan full time for the time being. Hurhur.

Have I missed anything out? Advice needed! Thank you! I have been way too slack with the wedding preparations oops.

As some of you readers may remember, the girls and I have a Mystery Makan outing going on. Each of us would take turns planning makan outings and would only reveal the address on the day itself with no other details. With the Mystery Makan tradition, we visited new places and tried new food! It’s really fun and we all look forward to our Mystery Makan sessions.

I’m so glad that i thought of this! Here are some blog entries on our previous Mystery Makan sessions!
