Reebonz. Unveil the surprise.
Wednesday, September 30th, 2009[Advertorial]
I bet some of you guys may have heard about Reebonz before. In fact, I first heard about it from April, one of the guest editors at CLEO during my little stint there. The girls were raving over Reebonz!

Reebonz is Asia Pacific’s first exclusive online shopping destination of premier brands and private sales. You get designer goods at a fraction of its usual retail price!

Discounts at Reebonz can go up to 70% for some products! How does this work? Reebonz hold events which last for a short period of time and that are open exclusively to members only. Brands that have made their appearance on Reebonz previously include Miu Miu, Prada, Coach and Kate Spade. I’m a big fan of Kate Spade and it’s super duper tempting whenever I see their sales events!

Currently, Reebonz provides shipping to all of Asia Pacific, so whether you are in Indonesia, Philippines or Brunei, you can still shop at Reebonz! Not only that, the Reebonz website has a simple and classic layout which allows easy navigation.
Some of the recent past events on Reebonz include

Good hair days and Bad hair days.
Tuesday, September 29th, 2009Remember I mentioned that I had a good hair day a few days ago? (On day 12 of your cycle, your hair looks its best!), being the narcissistic person, I am, I felt a huge need to share my camwhorey pics!

I had my hair done at Milly’s for the Puma Red in my Head party.

My first pair of hi-tops.
What do you do when you have a bad hairday?

I usually just throw on a cap and tie my hair up.

On a side note, I recently dined at Sakae Sushi with the ching chong boy. Is it me or are their seaweed looking a shade lighter? I’m a big fan of sukiyaki and I was craving for some the other day and ccb decided to bring me to Sakae. Wanted something warm, beefy and soupy for my tummy.
Trying to go low carb as much as possible! It seems so hard to go low carb and I’ve been visiting lots of sushi places just to do it. (skipping the rice of course!)
Anyway, back to the main topic, what do you do when you have a bad hair day? Share tips please! I can’t possible wear caps to work..
Pet peeves #1
Monday, September 28th, 2009One of the WYRs that I asked was about whether would you take a cab or a train/bus when you’re running late was because of one of my pet peeves.
I’m fine with people running late if it’s within the 15 mins grace OR if they’ve informed me in advance. In that way, I could do other things before hand, etc leaving the house later or maybe going to the library or running an errand.
But I absolutely hate it when people do not give advance notice. E.g. If I’m supposed to meet someone at 6.30pm and I only get a message that he/she will be late at the eleventh hour.
Or better still, only when I’ve texted them that I’ve reached, they then reply that they’ll be late. It’s so stupid, if you KNOW you’re gonna be late e.g. meetings, missed the bus, overslept, then bloody hell just give me a message or a call to tell me that!
I know shit happens but at least have the decency to inform me in advance. What’s even worse is that they take their own sweet time traveling down and acting all nonchalant about it. “Oh the bus was late, oh something happened etc.” and how it’s NEVER their fault.
The only time it’s forgivable taking buses or trains is when the meet up point is Orchard or if you’re freaking broke or if its during those peak hours that taking a train/bus would be faster than taking a cab.
If I have to wait more than 45 minutes for someone without any prior notice or proper explanation and if he/she takes his/her own sweet time, then I won’t bother ever meeting up again.
If he/she doesn’t show me any respect/courtesy, why should I show them that? Grr.
Reserved.

Day 16 of my cycle.
Sunday, September 27th, 2009It’s day 16 of my cycle and this is where I should be displaying signs of PMS. Thankfully this month, the PMS monster is away and I’ve been feeling happy! Maybe it’s because I’ve been kept busy and the ccb has been such a sweetheart. Phew.
MJ Chapter 24 : Fairy Sadistic
Saturday, September 26th, 2009

For this chapter, we didn’t have to dance or play with snakes!

In fact, all we had to do is just sit down and everyone else will be doing stuff for us!
More secrets of the cycle! Day 8 – 14!
Friday, September 25th, 2009Because my blog was down recently, I didn’t manage to share some secrets of the cycle so here are some really belated secrets! Apologies!
Between the 8th to the 14th day of the cycle, which is the pre-ovulation period is probably the best period of the cycle in my humble opinion.
The oestrogen levels are increasing rapidly at this point and while we benefit from these by having better hair days, being more articulate during this time (schedule all job interviews on day 8!), better memory and improved mood levels which also means you might feel more flirty and affectionate during this time! I noticed that my hair was looking better a few days ago and I took some pictures! Will post it up soon!
The only bad thing during the pre-ovulation period is that nearing day 13 and 14th, our estrogen levels are increasing which means… our emotions may go a tad haywire at this time. So do be mindful of your emotions, we might be feeling a bit jealous and irritated! I’m currently at day 14! Oh-oh. I keep reminding myself to keep my emotions in line, thankfully, I’ve been feeling happy all day!
If you like to know more about these days, do leave a note and I’ll reply you soon!
